Having been born and raised in So Cal at the beach, I live in them during the summer. I only wear them around the house for the most part. They are so old that I can't use the clutch in the truck properly with them. I did wear them to work yesterday and I won't make that mistake again. My back and knees are killing me today!

You bet -- flip flops around the house and sandals when I'm out. I can't stand closed shoes in the summer. I like good thong sandals or Birks the best. My mother always claimed it was my eastern Kentucky forebears fault that I hate wearing shoes.

That's ALL I wear in the Summer! I basically wear two different styles, both by Keen. One style is more of the traditional "thong" with the thing between the toes, but it's not at all hard rubber. It's soft, pliable, and you don't even feel it. The other style isn't exactly a "thong," but it's a "flip flop" in that it's open in back. Nothing between the toes, though.

Both styles are SO comfortable! They have good arch support, nice thick soles, a great toe protector ('cuz if there is something around to stub a toe on, my foot will find it); and you can throw them in the washing machine then set them in the sun to dry.

Not all flip flops are foam rubber & plastic. I have leather flip flops & Crocs flip flops for the pool. Cute starfish embellished ones that I love. Dressy styles, FIT Flops that help exercise your calf muscles, etc.

Haven't for a very long time. I did buy a cheap rubber pair last summer just to use in hotel showers but it's awkward getting them on. I often see people in grocery stores and malls in them and wonder how they do it. Love sandals though.

Yes, but only the ones with a somewhat thicker sole. The toe thingie doesn't bother me, but I can't wear the really thin, flat soles. Mine are all more like an athletic sole for just everyday walking around, and leather, dressier ones for shopping, etc.

No.I use to wear them when I was younger but anything between my toes anymore makes my big toe go numb.I never liked the rubber ones but wore the leather ones.

Lilliepad -- the orange sandals (the official name of the color is "Mango"), are the Bali style. You can find them on the Keen Footwear web site. The Mango color was from two seasons ago, so you won't find it on the Keen site now, though. I have them in Mango, Black, Strawberry (Red), Purple, Periwinkle Blue, Process Blue, Reflex Blue, Light Green, Emerald Green, Morrocan Blue, Heliotrope, and one or two others that I can't remember right now!

you don't EVEN want to know how many pairs I have...that's ALL I wear in the summer unless I'm dressing up then it's a nicer pair of sandals...of course I can't wear them to work...but I would if I could!!! I HATE SHOES!!

Even when I wear sandals the first thing I do when I get home is kick them off and slip on some flip flops.

A few if said they find them uncomfortable or awkward to put on. I just slide onto mine. I buy them at the top of my size though. I can't stand seeing women in sandals or flip flops with the end of their toes hanging over. There should be about a half inch of space in front. If you're stubbing your toes in them they are probably too small.

Of course I do. I hate shoes and would wear flip flops all winter if I didn't live in Iowa!!!

I used to. I wear crocs all the time now...bad knees. I might try some of those croc flip flops tho.

I call them 'thongs' too. I hadn't worn them in about 25 years until I found these on the LL Bean site. Do I remember someone here mentioning that site? These have a thicker sole. It took me a week of wearing them a little while each day until I got my toes used to the thing in the middle. It wasn't to hard because I have a pair of good sandals I got last year, that have the toe thing too, but it's leather and very narrow.

I live in flip-flops. As soon as I get home from work,I grab my flip-flops and my feet are happy. Of course, it's not that big of a deal, as I live in Florida and when I'm not in my flip-flops, I'm wearing my sandals.

Ummmm yep..have on my turquoise and light blue Croc Athens right now.. also have a pair in all black and a pair in hot pink/orange..plus a few pairs of foam ones with big ridges in them from Avon.

Nope. I never show my feet or shoulders. But I do like the ones Lindsey posted, especially the blue ones.

When I was young that's all we wore during the summer and I remember well the blisters between my toes.

I love flip flops but not the flat ones, I like a little platform. But, I am having trouble wearting them now because my ankle is still healing. Maybe next summer.

Not so much anymore. I have a wide space beside my big toe, and long toes to boot, so when the toe thingy stretches my feet creep over the edge. Not comfortable OR attractive. I'd rather go barefoot, but that would look funny in the grocery store or in town.

Another So Cal gal here, so it goes without saying that I live in flip flops. REALLY liked the looks of those Keen ones; Zappos, here I come!!

I have no bunions, corns, or callouses on my feet; and often get compliments from total strangers that I have very pretty feet. Yet I can stub my toe into things like you wouldn't believe...

No, but I do have a pair for when I get a pedicure. And, of course, of all the shoes you gals have linked, not one of them comes in a narrow width. Some of them don't even have widths listed. On a shoe like this, the straps across the top are usually too long/wide to hold the shoe to a narrow foot so it literally becomes dangerous to walk in them.
