This cake is for a DR that has just graduated with a degree so he can teach medicine now, the colours are the USA School of Medicine in Mobile.

6"and 10", yellow cake with strawberry filling, buttercream icing & fondant accents also edible silver dragees.

How about that I got all the info this time also would love to post a picture of a fun cake she made this week for a tech at the hospital it was his birthday but it involved a thong so thought I shouldn,t LOL.

The scroll isn't raised, but it does look like it in the photo. Steph does do some really cute stuff... love those cake pops she's been making! The girl I am thinking about does a lot of the fondant icing and just some really exquisite stuff. I'll bet it's been a year since her mom has posted any pictures of the cakes.

I hope you enjoyed your trip Glenda. I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy Paula Deens. I've never eaten there myself, but from watching her show I know how much butter she uses! Uhhh....As a southern cook, I promise not all of us cooks that way! If I may, what other restaurant did ya'll eat at? I don't get to Savannah very much, even though I live much closer than you do. I live about 45 minutes from there, but I only take the kids to the doctor in Savannah. If I can help it I avoid going, it's always so busy and crowded! I do hope you enjoyed the city though, it is a beautiful place to visit. Jessie

Hi Barb, I have many antiques and the best thing to do is leave on the original stain and finish, unless the item is damaged. This wash stand and the antique chess table, that I posted a few months back, are the only pieces I restored. The chess table had severe water damage and cigarette burns. This wash stand was very dark and murky and it just didn't fit in with our other stuff. That's why I painted it. Then I decided to strip it (using a sander) and refinishing it to better match our bedroom. I can tell you how to refinish and restore furniture, however, I rather not give advise on antiques... I'll leave that to the professionals. I'd be happy to tell you how to finish other furniture though, as we build a lot of furniture and I do most of the finishing. I never use gel stains, because they are not penetrating and compromise the beauty of the wood. I rather sand a piece down to the raw wood and start over. Joann. Check out the antique forum on GW.

Hey, it has to be better than one I saw last week for a baby shower- it showed a woman actually giving birth! It's too graphic to even link to, but if a person googled "shower cake labor Olivia" I bet they'd find it.
