Scrapbook websites?

I've looked a little bit on-line for good how to sites but most of them are selling supplies. Does anyone have a good website on how to do them? I've bought most of the supplies but have never actually made one before. I still have to go through and pick/print the pictures I want to use.

yesican, It really helps to look around at various scrapbooking websites & magazine websites to view the gallery pics. I get a lot of my ideas that way! I have a collection of scrapbook magazines from when I first started...1992, and have been looking at them for ideas. I don't copy the layout exactly, but mostly placement of photos and some embellishments. I'm not great about coming up with an original idea, but I sure can change an idea and make it my own. If you haven't checked out my post titled, "After 3.5 years", Do. Only because the 1st page with the row of pics. That idea came from a magazine, but nothing else is similar. Not even close to the original layout. I have another page I just created...totally on my own! I started placing the pics here and there, then I just started getting ideas. This is the newest one that I am talking about: I just cannot get this to resize. It is resized in photobucket, but gets big when posting it here.

The mosaic is where you take a picture and then cut it up into little squares. I think that's what it is called anyway! :) I saw it done in Creating Memories magazine, so I tried it. I flipped the picture over and drew lines one inch apart, so I ended up with one inch square boxes. Then I cut them out and arranged them on a background paper to get the mosaic effect.

Hi Kathy, From your post I gather that you are from the Atlanta area. I've been Scrapbooking on and off for years. I recently started digital scrapbooking and really prefer it. I use an older version of Picture It which was replaced by MS Digital Image Suite. I have read that MS has now discontinued that also. You can still buy Digital Image Suite reasonably on Ebay and Amazon, I'm considering getting it to upgrade. I think that Office Max is also still selling it. I have Photoshop Elements but find that difficult to use. Picture it is easy to use and I get good results. Not many people are doing this now. I think you take a hardcover book and take out some/all the pages. Or fold them and put scrapbook stuff on them. If I remember I deceided against it as it seemed bulky and messy. You could google scrapbooks-hardcover books and see what comes up.

Thanks for all the websites. Spent a little while last night watching those YouTube videos and they helped alot. I did make my first ever page last night. It turned out ok, I didn't have a cutting tool so just used a straight edge and scissors and then cut the edges with decorative scissors so they aren't perfect.

Kat, yes I feel 100% better than I did a few months ago. Getting enough calories, yes, just not enough protein. Had labs drawn about a month ago because my hair was falling out and found my prealbumin and albulmin levels were low. It's still falling out but I think it's slowing down. I'm down 69 pounds now. Would like to lose about 20-25 more. Oh, work is getting better, our patient to nurse ratio went way down a couple weeks ago. I also have an orientee working with me right now and I have to keep myself from doing everything so she can learn. Been pulling weeds out in the yard trying to get a little more active. My arms are really flabby now. Thanks for asking. How are you feeling?
