No, it's not good to be home! I'm happy the painters finally came at the end of this week to almost finish my house, while I was gone. It's been about 2 months since they started. They are coming back to finish the cabinet in my bathroom tomorrow. The house is a mess and that's what I got to come home to. So, I get to work the next few days I have left of my vacation. ) :

It was so nice only having to worry about what I was going to eat that day or what I was going to do for fun. LOL! Mostly I did nothing but read. I read 4 3/4 books while I was gone.

My friend did take me sightseeing, we went to the lava flow, one of Kilauea's craters, walked through a huge lava tunnel, drove down to the coast to see newly made land formed by the lava flow and see the Holei sea arch, spent a day at the Hilton in Waikoloa watching dolphins play while we ate lunch over-looking their pool and paddle-biking? in a lagoon with sea turtles, fish and manta rays. We also went swimming with the green turtles in Hilo, went swimming one day in a natural hot spring where volcanic steam vents into the sides of the walls of the spring, making it warm (for the most part, there were cold areas too because the ocean was flowing into the hot spring). I'm glad I didn't see the warning sign about the aggressive fish and eels until AFTER I went swimming! I have a hard enough time swimming in deep dark ocean water as it is. In fact, when we were in Richardson Park swimming with the turtles, it was getting on in the evening and the tide was coming in, waves were getting high, I jumped in once, swam a little and basically waded around until I finally had to get out because all I could think of were sharks. LOL!
