Went on the best vacay with DD. First sign of a great trip...upgraded to first class for only $80. We were checking bags, so it ended up costing $30 each at that point. Yay Virgin Airlines!!

DD caught up with her first celeb on the flight-Frenchie Davis from American Idol and The Voice. They chatted about DD's tattoos.

Met my best friend from childhood-it's been 30 years since we last saw one another, and it was as if no time had passed. What a wonderful reunion.

Spent an ENTIRE day at Disneyland. My sis & her girls met us and we were there from 11am-11pm. I can't believe we did that!!

Visited with my 95 yo Grandmother, and caught up with other family...my uncle gave us the tour of his studio and we got to hold his Emmy. He also showed us the newest Sons of Anarchy script that he's working on the special effects for. WOW...cool stuff!!

Did a tour of the Grammy museum and got to go to the Rock Walk Hall of Fame in Hollywood...and some shopping on Melrose. Also did a bit of celeb sightseeing while we lunched at a little boutique restaurant.

Finally we ended up in Vegas. Thanks to a major wreck on the freeway, what should have been a 4 1/2 hr drive spanned almost 8 hours. Good thing we were able to pick up signals on our iPhones-got to catch up on some Facebook time. Toured the Bellagio and a couple other spots, but headed to Red Rocks instead of casinos. I DEFINITELY plan to go back to see the natural resources, I love the desert so much!

But the cap was the concert in Vegas. OH.MY.GOSH. Simply THE BEST concert I've ever attended. Lita Ford opened, then Poison came on for a set. Then the crew dismantled the puny stage and set up a MASSIVE stage & light show and then Def Leppard came on. Ohhhhh my....fantastic doesn't do it justice. We had amazing seats and I danced nearly the entire Leppard show. (They just so happen to be my favorite rock band....) It was fun, met a lot of nice people at the show, and discussed various concerts we'd been going to the past year. Funny how music bonds strangers.

Made it home late yesterday afternoon and pretty much fell asleep in the recliner-don't even remember talking to my husband other than to say hello dear. I'd gotten about an hour nap after the concert before we had to be up and heading to the airport.

I never thought I'd say this, but I really do miss L.A. I guess if you're born & raised there, it gets in your blood...it'll always be home, but I'm glad to be back in Oregon.

This pic is the whole reason for me making this trip. I HAD to see this band and they weren't playing in the PNW.
