This morning, before 9AM, Judge announced that there was a legal problem, and court would not be held today.
I think it's another problem with a defense witness.

Personally, I think the parents have agreed to lie to save their daughter, and the brother is totally innocent in all this and terrified that his entire family unit will end up in jail.

He seemed to be evading telling anything that will harm his family even more. I don't think he had anything to do with what happened.

I agree Monica. Has anyone with cats ever heard of them eating chlorophyll and becoming sleepy? Isn't chlorophyll in all plants? I just thought that was weird.

Casey's parents, especially her father, know exactly what happened . I would love to hear their testimony. Also Casey herself. My biggest sadness is that no verdict or sentence will ever bring that little girl back. It's truly in God's hands.

CMA are both Caylee and Casey's initials.

Casey is a cold blooded sociopath and if someone doesn't believe she chloroformed her child , taped her mouth, and then found her dead..I have a bridge to nowhere to sell you. I think the brother is innocent and I think the mother is lying about the chloroform search. Did she also search about breaking a child's neck? Give me a break. The jurors aren't brain dead. Give her life so she can contemplate her evilness .

As to the trial, Judge Alex Ferrar was commenting that one thing that could stop the trial in it's tracks (as we saw happen this morning) and seal the record... could be a motion to have the judge removed from the trial. Let's hope, for everyone's sake that's not what's going on. Because it would mean a mistrial and they'd have to start all over at step one with new jurors, new judge, recalling all the witnesses, etc.

I might be wrong about this, but didn't Cindy say earlier that she didn't know who was googling chloroform, but is now testifying that she now remembers doing it. I think she and maybe George, when he testifies, are lying to 'muddy the waters' so the jury will have doubts and if not find Casey innocent, at least not give her the death sentence.

Yes, Cindy claimed she was on meds earlier that made her not remember the facts, now she's off them and things are coming back. This seems to have all started with the "I love you" comment she made to Casey, then Casey is said to have turned her head away. I saw Casey make a face and turn away, but not sure it was intended the way the media portrayed it. Anyhow, maybe Cindy has decided as someone else pointed out she doesn't want her daughter to die because of things she's said in court?

Dotmom--my question was this--Cindy's a NURSE. Wouldn't she KNOW how to spell cloroform? And how do you get past the point that the searches were inserspersed with visits to Casey's Myspace and Facebook sites--only mere seconds between bouncing from one to the other. Not enough time, IMO, for one person to get up and the other to sit down at the computer. And hey--WHILE she was trying to convice the jury she'd done the searches, Cindy TOLD them she often lied on her time card at work. The jury doesn't have to believe anything an admitted liar says. Some of the analysts are saying Cindy could definitely be putting herself in danger of some charges if she's lying on the stand.

I don't think there is any doubt but that Cindy is saying what ever it takes to keep Casey from getting the Death sentence.

I have said many times, there is nothing my children could ever do that would stop me from loving them. Thankfully, it has never come to that, but I think Cindy must feel the same way.

Wouldn't a grandmother feel a duty to her grandchild to have the truth come out? Would she really lie to protect her daughter who murdered the grandchild?

I love my daughter, but if she did what Casey did to my grandson, I'd be done with her. I would think I raised a lying monster.

I agree Sue, I think that Cindy would lie to the Lord himself if she thought it would spare her daughter. I have yet to see Casey show any true emotion, grief or remorse, that gal's eyes look as cold as ice to me.

In a way, I feel some sympathies for Cindy and George. The grandchild they adored is dead, by the hands (I believe, although innocent until proven guilty) of their daughter. Now they could lose that daughter to the death sentence. This family seems pretty dysfunctional, and the daughter turned out to be a lying psychopath, either a result from her upbringing or she was born damaged, but she is still their daughter, so they must love her. In their shoes, I guess I would do what I had to do to keep her alive. The whole thing is so sad and terrible. A beautiful little girl will never grow up and a family is torn apart.

Socks--CourtTV (TruTV?) is covering the trial. I don't get that station anymore, so can't comment on exactly how they're covering it.

HLN is reporting on the trial, and showing SOME of the testimony during the morning, then, in the afternoon, they're pretty much in the courtroom, interspersed with comments from their hosts and 'experts'.

The best coverage, though, if you're really interested in just seeing what's going on in the courtroom, without too many commercials and less 'chat'--is to go to one of the websites of the Orlando local TV stations. I've been watching on www.wftv.com When court's in session, they're showing the feed, few commercials, and the hosts only come on when court's in recess. It's much better coverage than HLN, IMO.

This whole case makes me sick to my stomach. Casey was sexually abused by her father and brother and her brother had to take a DNA test after Calie was born. He is not her father. I think the whole family is mentally ill and I hope Casey gets life in prison.

There is ZERO evidence that Casey was molested by anyone in her family. That comes from Casey herself who wouldn't know the truth if it slapped her in the face. And after all the incredilous lies she has told in the last three years, that's the one people choose to believe???

Yes, Lee and George took a DNA test just like every single person in that family. The defense is trying to insinuate that the test were taken to prove Paternity. They were taken as standard procedure just like they are in any case concerning kidnapping. That girl was no more molested than I was. She is a LIAR!!! There is no evidence, no history and no credibilty.

The whole Fam damily wouldn't know the truth if it slapped them in the face. Thank goodness That is not neccesary to convict her because she will never walk out of prison.

That whole family is mentally, emotionally and Morally retarded. I have never seen such a distorted mess in my life as the dynamics of that family. I seriously believe that there are some major mental issues.

There is so many things going on with this trial. About the searches-there is an IT tech on the jury. He will know Cindy lied about the searches and also remember the fact that someone deleted all the searches on chloroform, household weapons neck breaking, etc. Those searches were the only thigs deleted on that computer in 3 years!

The Anthony's met in Baez's office very recently. Might have made a deal to lie on the stand and he would drop the molestation/George hid the body claims?

Lee is at odds with the parents right now. On Friday (after the tearful testimony) he had lunch alone at a sub shop. Parent nowhere around. His tears were NOT over a baby shower! Maybe he just can't lie, who knows?

Sudden recess was NOT due to the next witness/discovery issue. It was something else.

There seems to be tension among the defense team. Casey could be firing one of them. Maybe Mason found out something unethical Baez did and wants to step down and not be associated.

Could be Casey wants to take the stand against their advice.

In a newscast after the recess, WESH anchor asked Bob Kealing what was going on. He said he spoke to Linda Drane-Burdick and she said she could not comment. He asked Jeff Ashton and Ashton said it does not have any thing to do with him (Ashton)."

I can't help but hope it has something to do with that computer disk that was brought up a couple of days ago. Baez never looked thru it-too time consuming. Prosecutors plan on using the June 16th stuff for their closing argument. Might prove Casey's guilt.

George was leafing thru a huge stack of papers in court today. Usually he just holds a picture of Caylee. Wonder what that was?

Kay--when you get to the wftv homepage, IF court is in session, there will be a banner near the top of the page that says something like "watch Casey's Trial" but it's only there if they're streaming the trial video. And they don't seem to be streaming every hour--in the morning, they don't start as early as court does (8:30), it seems to me. If you can't get the trial on that station, try googling the fox station in orlando--they're also showing the trial.

Sexual abuse? I seriously doubt it, too. But boy is that one disfunctional family, no matter what. Weird thing is, I know a family that's exactly like them--they all lie, the parents will cover for the kids no matter what they do wrong. And they'll attack anyone who points out that the kids aren't angels (which they are NOT) and they use religion as a shield and weapon--just as Cindy does. It's freaky how much alike they are. And how emotionally sick both families are. Oddest of all? The mother of the family I know, bears a strong physical resemblence to Cindy, even. And I'm honest to admit, my feelings for them often spill over onto the Anthonies--it's just so impossible to separate them in my mind. Still, I think being brutally honest, Casey had to have killed that poor little one.

I don't know if Casey was sexually abused or not, but I know that many women who were sexually abused by family members when they were a child turn out to have all kinds of problems; they lie, they cheat and they develop personality disorders and other mental health issues. However, she still needs to be punished to the full extent of the law if she killed her daughter, and I believe she did.

I haven't been following this trial,tho I kind of know what's going on.

If a mistrial is declared, the State would have to try the case again within 90 days. Really hope it doesn't come to that. Supposedly Cheney Mason has a medical condition and does not like the extended hours. He could step down over that. It wouldn't explain him yelling behind the closed doors though.

It would have been so easy to just "tell the truth" at the beginning of all this. What a mess.

My theory is Cheney Mason does not like the way the defense is handling this case because he knows Cindy, Lee and probably George are lying or will lie, and he wants no part of it. Mason is the Death Penalty qualified Attorney on that team so he would have to be replaced. It is my understanding that there is another female Attorney who could step up.

re: the trial - because of Cindy Anthony's last couple of testimonies, it seems that she would have to go along with the 'story' that George actually found Caylee's body in the pool, and that he was part of it then.
