Have You Seen Them Yet?

Christmas decorations are already out in the stores. I went to Hobby Lobby on Monday and there they were! I think it is way too early, not even out of June and they are on the shelves. Has anyone else seen them on the shelves?

NOOOOOOOO.....I thought it was bad enough that Michael's has their fall and some Halloween stuff already out. There ought to be a law against this stuff. Takes all the fun out of holidays. Nothing to look forward to.

There was a guy in NH 6-7 years back that got 35 years (and can never own another dog)for breeding and fighting dogs. Every dog and puppy (born while case was awaiting trial) were put down. Now we live in FL where most of the judges don't care. Just makes me sick. I own a pitbull and she's almost always with me, she's very passive. (The poster dog for good pitbulls) They steal dogs out of cars and off the streets to use a bait. I knowthing about football nor Mr Vick, but I hope justice pervails.

sheilajoyce--I sent my sister an email asking your question and her response was: Ah-the one with the flowers in the beginning was Isaac's parents, the groom. Her parents live in Florida, Jewish, originally from Isreal? He stated where they're from on the Today show. They tried to portray both faiths-her parents were evidently on Skype on one of the computers in their wedding dress & tux!! Yes, he is a friend of Jeff's.

I won't be seeing the movie. I might consider getting it on DVD. I resent being expected to pay for three films, for a story which is really only enough for one, or two at most. Peter Jackson may be telling us that this is his Middle Earth vision, and it includes lots of extra stuff that are not in the book. But the cynic in me knows full well that it's been made into three movies to get us to pay through the nose three times. If Cloud Atlas can be done in one film, so can The Hobbit. And it's not as if it's cheap to go to the flicks these days either....thirty five quid for me, my wife and my daughter is plenty. I can buy several DVDs for that money, and watch them in the comfort of my own home, without the smell of popcorn, the noise of kids and the glare of mobile phones distracting me. OK. Rant over. I feel better now.

Yep, I was in some store, I think it was Garden Ridge last week when I saw boxes of Christmas stuff sitting out by the register. Crazy.

If you are into crafting - it is time for that stuff to start showing up. If you wait to start closer to the season, it is too late!

I saw stuff going into HL a few weeks ago - and was sooooo tempted! LOL!~

I just bought some Christmas fabric and they had loads...I've been working on Christmas quilt blocks for some time now....

I've noticed that craft stores are always first to put up holiday stuff. I had a friend who used to make and sell craft items and she needed to buy materials way way before the holiday to be able to get them all made. That may be one reason why Hobby Lobby and Michael's does it

You're talking about craft supply stores - OF COURSE they have Christmas stuff out! This isn't your local grocery or department store decorated at the end of June.

Crafters and quilters who sell, make gifts, etc, DO NOT start after Thanksgiving. They need the stuff now, and I know many who were looking in April.

Unbunch the panties - if you're shopping at a craft or fabric store, just close your eyes and walk on by. They have this stuff out because it sells at this time of year.

No I am not talking about fabric. They had all kinds of ornaments to hang on your tree and garland. They were putting out lots more things at the time. They also had the pumpkins and gourds out already.

I noticed that in my Hobby Lobby at least 2 weeks ago. That is just too early, IMHO! I understand crafters need the materials early, but man it gets earlier every year.

Don't forget, many people have a Christmas in July thing.
Now is the time to craft for Christmas anyway.

i've alrady started making little crochet bags for dd1's craft "market" for dgds school found red/white/green yarn...(michaels)

we have to replace christmas stockings (our collection accidently was tossed) and have to buy 19! so a few at a time we can afford...will have to head over to hobby lobby!

Hobby Lobby has the best Christmas wrapping paper. Nice and heavy and wide. It comes on sale for half price lots of times. I also stock up after Christmas.
