I saw this last night and it is amazing! Such a feel-good video. A lot of work went into this!

I saw one this week sipping from my pink formosa azalea bushes. I thought at first it was a bumble bee, but no, it was definitely a hummingbird, I've never seen one this early, usually I don't see them till mid summer so it was a shock to see it. I've not seen any since, but the tangerine crossvine is blooming on the front of my house and I've put out a hummingbird feeder so if there are any more, there is food for them. I was going to remove the crossvine this year (the orange flowers don't compliment my house), but seeing that hummer this early made me immediately change my mind.

They don't stick around long when they come to feed. You may have them and not know it. Also... here they seem to come to the feeder most often about an hour before sunset, and just about sunrise. They will come and stay at the feeder anywhere between 10 seconds and a minute and then split. Might come back a few times with about a 10 to 15 minute interval. Keep the sugar water fresh or they will not return.

There was a guy in NH 6-7 years back that got 35 years (and can never own another dog)for breeding and fighting dogs. Every dog and puppy (born while case was awaiting trial) were put down. Now we live in FL where most of the judges don't care. Just makes me sick. I own a pitbull and she's almost always with me, she's very passive. (The poster dog for good pitbulls) They steal dogs out of cars and off the streets to use a bait. I knowthing about football nor Mr Vick, but I hope justice pervails.

I saw the photos online on Friday afternoon. HUGE cake, but I like the design. There were something like 600 people invited to the reception, so they needed a massive cake!

Yes, I have. and it is very cool. BUT, for some reason, I wouldn't want to be asked in that way. Just like the
big public engagements at games on the jumbo~tron...

I don't know, it seems that those and this one are geared more for the audience, and getting on camera and
how many "hits' and "shares" it can get. Is that just me?
It doesn't seem very personal at all to me.

I did I saw it on the news and they said the person that did that song called them to congratulate them and thank them for using his song.
Very cute idea and they all did so well.

WOW! Loved it!

I don't see it as a big public engagement like at a ball park where you are surrounded by strangers. This obviously involved family and close friends and took place with only them involved. I wouldn't have minded being proposed to like that.

I agree with Matti. I also think that for anyone to go to those lengths, you'd know your partner well enough that she would say yes.

I asked my sister about the public aspect and she said they'd been together for quite a few years, so there was no possibility of a refusal. Still, I would have been mortified if dh did proposed publicly!

Sjerin, was the older couple with the bouquet of flowers one of their parents? Bride? Groom?

I keep coming back and watching this proposal. They seem like such a nice couple, and it is such a neat proposal. I thought the first couple who led the dance seemed so cute too. I wonder if they are a couple in real life. They should be.

sheilajoyce--I sent my sister an email asking your question and her response was:

Ah-the one with the flowers in the beginning was Isaac's parents, the groom. Her parents live in Florida, Jewish, originally from Isreal? He stated where they're from on the Today show. They tried to portray both faiths-her parents were evidently on Skype on one of the computers in their wedding dress & tux!! Yes, he is a friend of Jeff's.

It was on our news also but glad to have the link to see the whole thing. It really was lovely and made more special by all the families and friends helping/joining in.
