I saw the photos online on Friday afternoon. HUGE cake, but I like the design. There were something like 600 people invited to the reception, so they needed a massive cake!

That is the first pic I've seen of the cake. Was there a pic of the cutting of the cake;if so I missed that too.

Got the magazine yesterday and flipped through it. Pretty as usual, but I'm just the opposite on the seascape decor. I guess maybe it's because I've never lived around water or had any desire to (I can't even swim!). The soft colors of beige and white and gray have always been favorites of mine tho. Just didn't feel like the magazine was worth the $11 this time, but I had to have it all the same. I had tea an hour ago and completely forgot to grab the magazine on the way out to the garden. I think I'll go sit in the library with it now and relax.

There was a guy in NH 6-7 years back that got 35 years (and can never own another dog)for breeding and fighting dogs. Every dog and puppy (born while case was awaiting trial) were put down. Now we live in FL where most of the judges don't care. Just makes me sick. I own a pitbull and she's almost always with me, she's very passive. (The poster dog for good pitbulls) They steal dogs out of cars and off the streets to use a bait. I knowthing about football nor Mr Vick, but I hope justice pervails.

sheilajoyce--I sent my sister an email asking your question and her response was: Ah-the one with the flowers in the beginning was Isaac's parents, the groom. Her parents live in Florida, Jewish, originally from Isreal? He stated where they're from on the Today show. They tried to portray both faiths-her parents were evidently on Skype on one of the computers in their wedding dress & tux!! Yes, he is a friend of Jeff's.

OMG! You have to wonder what goes through that lion's mind. Obviously, he remembers something... or the smell, maybe. Lucky people to be able to have that relationship with that enormous animal. Also, it's amazing to see his "wife" be so tame around them.

Probably was plenty of cake, Joann. Underneath that gorgeous frosting was----fruitcake! Not a favorite of most people.

I'd say Americans don't care for fruit cake, but I have the impression that most Brits do.
