I was in Michael's only last week, and had picked out a few of the little houses, however the checkout line was so long, I put them back, as I was in a rush. I was thinking about doing something similar..just using a finer glitter. I've got some original glitter houses from the 50's and I love them. Last year my daughter Amber was approached by a gal who sells ponytail extensions. She asked Amber if she would model one for her web site. If you go to the link below, Amber is the first gal you see at the top of the page and she's in the video as well. Back in my day, falls were all the rage. They attached to the top of your head with a comb. It helped if you made a small knot with bobby pins. I was a freshman in high school when I bought mine. It was real hair and cost me $110. That was in 1968 which was a bunch of money back then, especially for a girl making only $1.25/hour. I asked my hair stylist that same question, although my obsession is with the "Kardashian" hair. My hair is blond and wavy... It'll never get that long, unfortunately. She told me that they use a shine oil, they flat iron and even the Kardashians use human hair extensions. Certain ethnic groups (Asian, Indian and Mexican/Spanish) for example, have individual hair strands that are naturally thicker, stronger, and the hair as a whole grows faster. Dark hair also reflects more light, so it looks super shiny and healthier. The majority of human hair extensions are Indian remy hair - the hair naturally grows faster. A lot of the commercials you see show dark hair for this reason. In the Garnier commercial with the blond, she more than likely has extensions, although if you have "virgin" hair (no color ever, no perm, wash every few days, no hot tools) you may be able to grow out blond hair. I just wear my extensions when I want long hair - it's too hard to take care of it when it's naturally long. LOL

I think that with that French guy and his tatted body what is the most upsetting is the blacks of his eyes. What an experience it must be to have the eyes black like that. I wonder how and what it felt like and how many regrets he suffers. He did this, purposely, to himself and you have to question what his motives are. This is not about acceptance of people who have something different about them involuntarily. This guy did this to himself. If he is using his own life to make some social statement that should cause one to question his motives and sanity. . This is permanent and the social issue that he claims to be pressing will ebb and fade and just go right on, no matter that he has blackened his eyes. This is not some social stance and not something that is benign. This is going to be with him the rest of his days. And, he will change and the world will change and he will have, in a way, have sacrificed his life to do this. How can anyone live a normal life like that? This is not just about cutting ones hair, shaving the head or wearing some emblem or flying some flag or anything like that. This goes way beyond that. People will go beyond seeing him as benignly eccentric. He will be seen in the most negative ways. Who cares what kind of acceptance he thinks that he is supporting? Nothing could be worth doing this to yourself for the rest of your life. He is not going to change the world and it is not up to him to do so. If he really felt the need to promote acceptance, he could have done so in many other ways and been just as effective or ineffective. This reflects something not entirely wholesome.
