I just got back. It was unbelieveable. I've never seen turnout like this. It was great to see, even though I did wait for well over an hour. I feel sorry for DH who has to go after work. If the lines are crazy now I can't imagine what they'll be like later.

Good morning, Sue. As I write, Dh is off cleaning up a friends rhubarb patch and will bring home a good supply for me to prepare for use in the next few days and some to freeze for later. Tomorrow I will bake a rhubarb cream cake to have for company on Wednesday. On Wednesday another couple and dh and I are going on a road trip to check out a Plow and Hearth store and an Ikea store. Really looking forward to Plow and Hearth, as their catalog has lots of stuff in it that falls in the "I can't live without" category. I hear that Ikea will have a lot of the same. So I'm guessing that the next few days after that road trip will be spent finding a place to put all that "stuff". Have a great week everybody.

Good afternoon everybody! We had a busy morning and I've been resting my tired feet. DH had to have blood work in town this morning so we went early and afterwards went to Sam's to stock up on meat. I think we have enough to last about 6 weeks now. We got-- Steaks - 4 filets. Cut way back on our beef intake so when we have a steak we want a good one. Don't eat a lot so those 4 will be 4 meals for us. Pork chops--9 1" boneless. They were marked down, too. Chicken breasts - 7 or 8. Boneless, skinless. Good for the grill. Salmon - a large piece that will be at least 3 meals worth. Pork roast - in an applewood bacon marinade. It's a little large but I can save it for company. Hamburger - 5 lbs. Roasted chicken - tonights dinner and tomorrow's chicken enchiladas. After Sam's we went to Lowe's. They had a drill on sale and DH really needed a new one. I wanted paint samples for the main bath. I'm thinking dusty rose but all the colors either look like pepto bismol or lavendar. Got a replacement for our outside coach light. Then we went to Publix. Hopefully I won't have to go back for a while since I stocked up on fresh fruit and veggies and some canned stuff in case of a hurricane. Now I need a nap since I woke up at 3:45!

Good morning Sue! Stayed up late last night so I slept in this morning. Did nothing all day yesterday except dishes. Alex left for a week long camping trip with friends yesterday and Lauren is at her father's. So, I have the house to myself...with the dogs. Today I'm going to write some e-mails, a letter or two, do laundry and work out in the yard later after the sun starts going down. I need to clean the house too, just not sure I'm going to get to that today or just leave it for tomorrow.
