What is the deepest cast iron tub available in 5.5'
Comments (3)I, too, want a very deep cast iron soaking tub for our new master bath. I'm going with the sumptuous Kohler Tea for Two 5.5'. It's 19.5" to overflow (the deepest I could find) and holds a whopping 105 gallons! It can be dropped in, undermounted, or installed in an alcove. I'm trying to tell myself that I'm not ruining the planet by getting my dream soaker that guzzles water. I laid in it at the plumbing supply showroom and didn't want to get out. I don't know what cost prohibitive is to you, but this one isn't cheap. Kohler lists it in white for $2125, but Faucetdirect.com has it for $1434. Oh, and I should mention a warning from the showroom saleswoman. The tub weighs more than 400 pounds. She told me that delivery and install will cost a bit more (whatever that means) because it is so heavy. Installing in on a second floor room can be tricky. Ours is new construction on the first floor so hopefully it won't be too difficult to deliver and install. Comments (36)Awwwwww, these are all soooo cute. And very well-coordinated. ; ) Our whole family oohed, ahhhed, and giggled over your posts. : ) Our Feliz (you can sing her song with me: "Feliz naughty-dog...") is a three year old poodle-something that we got a year ago. I tease that she's crossed with a fool, which makes her a "foodle". She's a *great dog and has been an incredibly good fit for our family. Believe it or not, she does occasionally peel herself off the furniture to help clean up the kitchen. She especially likes helping "pre-rinse" the dishes as they're loaded into the DW. I think we'll have to match our floors to the dirt, since fluffy white flooring is definitely out of the question. :-) I was over to the house today, tacking up all kinds of paint chips. We're going to have to repaint pretty much everything downstairs, so it'll be a fresh start. Everywhere. Fun, but a bit overwhelming. It's an old house with high ceilings. Painted woodwork. Wood floors (that need refinishing.) Quite a bit of light in most of the rooms. The kitchen is a bit darker though, having a window on the north side and being in the middle of the run of the rooms. We'll be opening the kitchen some, so it needs to work with the whole scheme. Whatever that is. Maybe I should build off of Olivia instead?...See MoreShould KD have given me the option of fake drawer for DW panels?
Comments (32)Cotehele, can you tell me the measurement of your gap from top of backer to countertop and the measurement from top to bottom of your backer panel (not to the floor)? I need to reorder the right size. Designer claims there is no error and wants me to pay twice. However from bottom of cabinets to countertop is 30" and designer ordered one that is over 30" (it would go below the cabinets even if there is no little gap....See Morewhat should i do with my pullout spice drawers?
Comments (8)We have columns on our spice pullouts and no pulls. We did speak with our kitchen guys and consider carefully before deciding to forgo the pulls. The columns were very securely attached with a number of screws, and we're careful to wipe the wood where we grip reguarly (the thick square part on top). As for the wood wearing there, any wear on a catalyzed finished hard wood would be very gradual over a long length of time and would only add character....See Moreheidia
