Crackle Tile for Rangetop Backsplash

Well, I can't believe it. The granite is finally in and now I have to choose backsplash. Argh--one more big decision.

I fell in love with some crackle subway tile, along with some beautiful 3-D decos also with a crackle glaze. I read on the tile manufacturer's website that the crackle tiles need to be sealed both before installation and after, and then every 6 months. Has anyone installed crackle tile over a rangetop, and how difficult is it to seal the decos with all those crevices in the 3-D patterns? Do these tiles stand up to the heat from a rangetop? And what type of sealer do you use---is it the same type you use for the grout?

I never though backsplash could be so much "fun". Thanks!
