Does anybody have Diamond Kitchen Cabinets?
Comments (6)bruins47, I had Diamond cabinets installed last year, shaker-style in Cherry with slab drawers. All plywood construction, doors and drawers are solid cherry. I have a total of 18 boxes, including a tall pantry with slide-out shelves, and side panels around my refrigerator. I did not purchase from Lowe's, but from another local supplier. I hired my own installer. All of the cabinets arrived in good order with no damage. I was actually really pleased with them when I opened the boxes! No issues with the finish or construction. There was an issue with the light rail in that one of the exposed surfaces was not finished, but Diamond replaced those pieces immediately and quickly. One drawer did not glide like it should, and a new glide was sent right away. I think this is where a smaller, independent dealer has an advantage over Home Depot and Lowes ... my request for replacement parts was not lost in the shuffle and my supplier got them to me fast. Those were my only issues ... minor and resolved quickly. I had ordered a bathroom cabinet (not Diamond) from Lowe's a few years back and the experience wasn't a pleasant one, so shopped elsewhere. Good luck with your purchase!...See MoreNeed Info on Dynasty/Omega Cabinets in Walnut, Please
Comments (16)Just wanted you all to know that I just ordered my vanity based on information from this thread. (So thanks, all!) I ordered natural walnut from the new frameless line. - the door style is Torin. The cabinet place had a sample so I was able to see exactly what it was going to look like. The vanity will be two attached cabinets - drawers on the left and doors on the right, no toekick, and I got a 4" x 4" tall leg which will be cut to make feet! Unfortunately I had to wait 6-8 weeks, but I am excited! I am thiinking it will look really sharp with Pure White Caesarstone!...See MoreOmega/Dynasty vs Barker Cabinets - same price and need to choose!
Comments (8)There would be no contest between unassembled and something of Dynasty's quality already assembled. Painting parts and pieces and then assembling them isn't the best idea. Someone besides an expert in cabinetry assembling the cabinets also is questionable quality control if you want to compare the two. It's apples and oranges. Sure, there might not be any issues, but if there are, you've got a lot more fingers pointing around at who caused the problem, with no one wanting to accept responsibility for the issue. Also, are you really sure you want to 100% accept the responsibility for knowing what clearances the cabinets need in order to function? What size oven cabinet you need? How to trim that cabinet to fit? I can do every one of Dynasty's cabinets that will show in the design with an extended side in order for it to be scribed to the waviness of the wall. I can also do an extended stile instead of a filler against a wall or tall cabinet so that it's more seamless. Do you understand what that brings to the design? And how little it actually costs to be able to do details like that that make all of the difference in appearance and function?...See MoreNeed help deciding between Candlelight or Dynasty cabinets!
Comments (4)I sold Dynasty for 3 years. I loved working with them. They offered top notch quality, great customer service, and a huge amount of customization. If there was something that Dynasty couldn't do, like pocket doors on an oven cabinet for a TV above it, the sister full custom company Omega could do it. The lines dovetail seamlessly with each other so that you only need to use one or two full custom cabinets for a whole kitchen, which helped to keep costs down. The kitchens that I did in painted beaded inset averaged 35-55K and usually involved stacked cabinets, glass, wood goods, and other upscale details. The frameless line averaged from 10% less to 20% more than many American RTA lines suggested here for people to use when compared apples to apples....See Morejellytoast
