Our D-shaped prep sink is on the corner of the island so we put the accessories on the inside corner. That makes it easy to use the sink from both sides and minimizes the space for the accessories. We have a single hole faucet with an air switch near the faucet handle and a soap dispenser on the other side of the faucet.

A 13" sink might be a tad small to put all of that. My prep sink is about 17" wide. I put the faucet centered on the back, the soap dispenser just to the left, and the the air switch for GD just to the right.

I considered a water filter at the prep sink, but then knew I didn't have room with the sink being so small so that went to the cleanup sink. Our water isn't unhealthy, it just tastes a little off to me, (most people think it tastes fine) so I didn't need filtered water for cooking. Also, having folks searching for filtered water stay out of my prep zone was important to me. :)

No judgement, but why is the sink so close to the cooktop? Just curious.

@Breezygirl, That's how it was on the plans. Didn't think it was an issue until you mentioned it, but I can't do anything about it now...

It is like having a pot filler on an island range! That looks like it will turn out really pretty!

I'm going to wait until the fixtures come in, then I can hold them up by the sink to check the spacing - I have to fit all three accessories at that sink somehow. I originally wasn't going to put a garbage disposal at the prep sink, but now I think I'm going to...but I will do a batch feed so I don't have to worry about air switch placement. Do you think it will look weird if I put the main faucet at the left corner, soap dispenser in the middle, and the water dispenser at the right corner??

janealexa, we're having the same size sink installed next week as a bar sink and are putting the regular faucet in the center with the soap dispenser to its right and chiller faucet to its left. There's plenty of room for that; we currently have a faucet, separate faucet handle, and soap dispenser at our main sink spread over just 11" of room (centered on the small sink offset) and it's more than adequately spaced so you'll be fine.

For your config I'd do soap on the left and filter faucet on the right to make it easier to get a drink from the end side of the island. Good luck and enjoy your lovely new kitchen. Btw, I love your cabinets.
