I plan to install mine at eye level or a bit higher, on the wall over the kitchen sink, and then hide it with a "Shadow Box" (like a six-sided cube with one panel removed do you can see into it; web search to see visuals of beautiful shadow boxes with lights inside + used to display artwork). In front of it there will be something beautiful to look at. I definitely like to keep my plumbing connections in a place where leaks Get Spotted Early. I'm figuring out how to get a wallmounted faucet into a shelf so that there is no cartridge, valve, or connection in the wall stud cavity. I want to see leaks. For the Insta Hot, I plan to put filtered water into it. Any tank is a sedimentation device. Water will sit in it overnight, every night. Gunk would pile up faster if the water weren't filtered prior to entering the tank. Before buying it, I did read that a temperature slightly below boiling is good to make tea. Reading about tea making is what convinced me that it would serve many purposes. Since it's more than a half gallon, I'm sure I'll be able to use it to jumpstart induction cooking and get a bit of boiling water going within a matter of seconds. Steaming spinach couldn't be easier than that. When I cook pasta, I often start with a small amount of water, just because I can. Then, using thermal inertia as my friend, I add some water later once the pasta is in the pot, roiling boiling. Ta daa.

Now that you know you have a PRV we KNOW you have a closed plumbing system and the 100psi spikes are the result of thermal expansion. You can refer to the link 14 posts above for a detailed explanation of thermal expansion. The PRV creates a closed plumbing system. Since your internal pressure is 60 psi we can assume that portion of the PRV is working. We can prove that if we know the street side pressure. The N35B does have a built-in bypass feature that limits the internal pressure to 10psi above the supply pressure. I don't trust the built-in bypass because the intent of a closed plumbing system is to prevent back-flow into the main system from homes. Click here for N35B details and read the TROUBLESHOOTING section CAREFULLY. You may be experiencing the dribble now just because the new fridge has a valve that is sensitive to excess pressure. The bypass on the PRV might have just failed and is now causing you a thermal expansion problem. That is why the preferred thermal expansion control device is a thermal expansion tank. Here's what I would do... 1. Measure supply (street side of the PRV) pressure for reference and to know how much the PRV is reducing the pressure for future troubleshooting. 2. If the PRV is not reducing pressure then replace it. 3. Install a thermal expansion tank at the cold inlet for the WH and sized from the link 14 posts above including a 1/4 turn ball valve so the tank is easily serviced in the future. 4. When that is done, if the fridge leak persists then back to GE, BUT, without a receipt from a plumber you may be banging your head against a wall with them unless you get a GE tech that has field experience and is knowledgeable.

Update on neesie's ebay seller: I emailed shermshop asking why the faucets were so cheap. Got a very quick and friendly response - she said she'd gotten a great closeout deal on a lot of KWC stuff from a distributor. Sounded reasonable. I was about to pull the trigger on purchasing the Divo-Arco when I decided to check the warranty on KWC's site. It seems they don't honor the warranty if you buy the faucet from anyone but an authorized dealer. No internet sites, definitely no auctions. (If you said the faucet was a gift and you don't know where it was purchased, I wonder if they wouldn't honor the warranty? Possibly - they said they check the receipt for warranty service!) They do list Home and Stone as an authorized dealer, and their prices are pretty good (though nowhere near shermshop). I wonder if you buy from Home and Stone via their web site, if that's good enough for the warranty? What if you buy from them through ebay? Anyway, neesie, shermshop said to thank you for the referral! If anyone wants to buy a KWC faucet cheap and not worry about the warranty, this is a really good deal. :-) Moving on... smilingjudy, good luck with the Moen! Thanks for the feed back. The reason for a wall mount was that it is handsome and would add some period style to the kitchen. This is a 1920's house in a high end summer resort, so people expect style. I've already cleared out and painted the entire house, so it's fresh and clean. Everybody who walks through says it's charming, but needs work because the bathrooms are dated, the kitchen needs redoing and the house lacks central A/C. Nobody can figure out how to make the kitchen over. It has very little counter space and is awkwardly laid out. I'm considering removing what's there this week - giving the existing appliances to Habitat's Restore, flipping the layout which would make it more functional, putting in some new, ready made solid wood cabinets and an island, stainless appliances and granite counter tops, plus some school house lights. Basically staging it for sale. Honestly, whoever buys the house will probably tear everything out and redo it as part of expanding the house. I just need to show potential buyers what can be done because so far people are stumped. This way people could see that they would have a nice looking, functional kitchen to use while deciding what to do with the house. The house is already priced a million less than it's neighbors. It's a solid house in a nice area. It's just old fashioned.
