final plans, can you take at the kitchen before we submit?

These are our final, final plans for our new house. We had plans finalized and ended up tossing them and starting fresh. We are hoping to have all the kinks worked out before we send the new plans to the drafter.

We have three kids, 7, 5, and 2. This kitchen will be well used and obviously where we congregate. I want an island that is big enough for us to eat at in the mornings and the occasional lazy meal. We will use the dinning room for most evening meals. We are large mammals, my husband is 6'5" and I am 6', so elbow room is a necessity!

The sink with three windows will look out over our pond. Is a prep sink necessary? I have never been in a house with a prep sink before so it seems like an added cost that isn't truly needed.

Any insight is greatly appreciated!
