I wouldn't mind at all. My current one gets me soaked whenever I try to use the spray for anything other than rinsing the sink so I don't use it (except for rinsing the sink which I wouldn't need it for if I had decent water pressure).

Pull down is important to me. Spray? nah.

Pull down definitely important, but I also like my spray. When I handwash dishes, I find it makes bubbles better than the stream. As well, I think it uses less water, so when the kids run the water forever for washing their hands I still conserve. Those are probably silly reasons, but my faucet stays on spray constantly save for the few times I fill up a pitcher or pot. I also had a screw on aerator on my last tap for the same reasons.

Up until my recent kitchen reno I didn't have a spray or a pulldown.
Now, I have a Blanco pull down with built-in sprayer.
I'd never go back to being without a spray.
OTOH, if you rarely use the sprayer you already have, you probably won't miss it.

One of the four KWC Sin series models has the same concealed mini pulldown as the one in the KWC Eve.

I don't have a spray and, surprisingly, don't miss it. My sink is small and we have great water pressure so the pull down does the trick. I haven't attacked a really gritty pile of greens yet, but soaking has worked for everything else.

I don't miss one either. Our "new" vintage sink did not have an extra hole and our wall mount faucet did not come with a sprayer. The faucet has a hinge type spout like a pot filler, so I do get to move it around like a sprayer.
I would like to have one in a perfect world, but until this post, forgot I don't have one any more, lol....

My new faucet will have a pull-down spray. That being said, I haven't had a sprayer (or pull-down, for that matter) in basically my entire adult life. I haven't missed it. So, life can certainly have meaning without it. :)

We have the KWC Eve and LOVE it. Fell in love with the looks, ordered it, cancelled it because of the cost and the fact that it had no sprayer. A week later, I was still obsessing about it and changed the order once again. Not once since the installation have we missed the spray function. And I used to use the spray in my old sink every single time I did dishes. I would caution against the tall model though, it looks gorgeous but splashes a lot. I would get Eve again...and again!

I'm a little surprised by the number of people saying they wouldn't or don't miss a sprayer. I was expecting an overwhelming consensus the other way.

davidro1, I saw that Sin model (not in person). It doesn't appear to have a sprayer either as far as I can tell. I personally like the style of the Eve better too. The Ono series might have a sprayer. Too bad they have those ridiculously slender handles that are so out of proportion to the rest of the faucet.

I love my spray. I have the Kohler Karbon, an articulating faucet, which I move every which way, down, up, sideways, a lot, a little. But yes I love my spray. Every day I marvel at my faucet. It's looks are not for everyone.

All the Sin models have the same handle, and it's not slim.

That Eve faucet is gorgeous, I think it's beautiful enough to give up the spray function. Our faucet has a sprayer but I don't use it that often - I would go for it!

Here's why I would miss a spray -

Our house is long - I'm not sure how many feet - but it's long enough to make a real difference in hot water arrival time to the kitchen (the hot water heater - which is now a tankless heater is closer to the other end of the house than the kitchen end).

I don't quite understand the physics of this - actually, I don't understand it at all (!) but my husband clued me in one day that the quickest way to get the hot water to the tap was using the spray function and he was right - it makes a huge difference.

I've never cared much for a spray and don't like to use it on dishes because of the splatter factor (window behind sink) but now I couldn't live without one because of the water heating factor.

This may not be an issue for anyone else - or perhaps if it takes anyone else a while to get hot water to the sink you can try it to see if it works for you as well.

As an aside, this is the faucet that was in place when we first moved in. Surprisingly enough, they still sell these things - or they did a few years ago. Our local Orchard Supply Hardware carried them.

Hey grumpydave, thanks for the appreciation. I gained such knowledge and insight from the wonderful people here and I am so happy to give a little back.

I wouldn't do without my spray function. But an added benefit no one mentioned is if you have a garbage disposal. The spray function can "force" small particals to go down the disposal a bit faster.

I lived without it for decades before our reno and I didn't need it. BUT, our new sink is much flatter on the bottom than our old one. I have to position the sprayer behind food scraps to get them to scoot to the drain. No sprayer with some of the current sinks, especially large ones, would be a major mistake imho. It's even more important if you are using a grid and you can't use your hands to encourage the scraps toward the sink strainer or garbage disposal.

I have the Ono without the spray on my main sink. I don't miss spray one bit there. I really don't like water droplets getting everywhere anyway. I do have the ono with spray (a pull out) on my prep sink. I rarely use it.

I have the Delta Ashton with pull down sprayer. First off, the pull down is eons better than a separately mounted sprayed. It's so fast and easy. 2nd, I would miss a sprayer a lot. I use it for of course cleaning the sink, but also to rinse hard to clean things like a strainer or a giant pot. Maybe, if you have a sprayer right now, try to live without it and see how it goes.

davidro1, I'm getting a Blanco Precis super single.

zelmar, the sprayer may be better for scooting the scraps toward the drain but the Eve does have a pull down head and should be able to do that too. It may/may not be as effective but it should get the job done.

cherryblossom99, I can't truly try living without my sprayer now because I don't have a pull-down or pull-out faucet that would partially replace its function. That said, I don't use the sprayer a LOT.

I went back and looked at the KWC faucets again today. The Eve was still gorgeous. One thing I noticed is that the KWC faucets are the only ones I've seen where the lever goes forward for hot and back for cold. The importance of this is when mounting with the lever facing forward as I want to do the red/blue markings are actually in the correct orientation. I like that. It also just makes sense to me when I'm trying to visualize which direction to move the lever when it's mounted on the side.

The Systema isn't as pretty but looks like a real workhorse. With the aforementioned "forward for hot" lever I can see where the lever would probably be forward and over the sink 90% of the time giving some of the utlility of a forward facing lever. I did like the heft of the spray head and the way it docked too. Sorry, getting off topic there.

grumpydave, when there are lumps of flour or shreds of cheese that have adhered to the bottom of my sink, under the grid, a stream of water doesn't move anything. I need a spray. Your sink set up may be very different from mine.

KWC is a professional company. They make faucets and only that. So, I wouldn't worry about whether or not the spray will be forceful enough to do a good job at rinsing. Your sink is made of Silgranite material. Blanco says "Unsurpassed cleanability". But, how easy or hard is it to get specks to float to the drain? For this you have to move the spray wand around slowly. The stream may need to be warm or hot water too.

Grumpydave, I have the same sink with my Eve. It is actually fun to wash the sink. I love pulling down the head because it is so flexible. I have caught myself washing down the sides of the sink before I am done cleaning up...just to do it! I fear my new kitchen has made me a cleaning nerd.

I should also mention that I live in CA and I don't like to waste water to blast the flour lumps or cheese off the bottom when a wash cloth works perfectly fine (actually, i use the microfiber that I had wiped up the counters with). I feel better that soaping it good will kill germs.
