Certainly not a deal breaker. Keep in mind that you're probably not getting responses that are representative of home buyers in general--the people here are largely enthusiasts, who have spent a lot of time looking and thinking about houses. Ask the people in the kitchen forum if not having an exterior vented hood is a deal breaker, and most would say yes. Ask your average layperson this, and the response would be "what's an exterior vented hood?" So if you're happy with it, some other buyer will be, too. I think the solatube is a great option and I would not be terribly concerned about leaking. My parents have a master bath w/ no windows and installed one, not because they thought they needed one but so they could not turn on the lights during the day (they are funnily frugal folks considering they nearly live in a mansion). They bought a cheap model from a big box store, my dad installed it himself, and haven't had an issue with it--and we will in Nebraska, where we get snow and rain as hard as anybody (last year's drought notwithstanding). One thing my parents did before the solatube was install a dim fluorescent accent light (back in the 80s) which they kept on when we had company over. It provided the same kind of ambient lighting a window usually does and was very pleasant. You might consider having two types of lighting to get a similar effect.

Thank you all very much for your insights & perspectives. I realize now I didn’t give much context to the plans. The wall that houses the dresser is a wall that will now back up to a common area, so can’t do a window there. The dark shaded area represents the additional square footage I’m adding on to that part of the house. I’m very happy with the layout & my only hang up were the two small windows flanking the bed. So I appreciate that most of you suggested to consider the outside as well as the inside. I did just that!! Stood there staring at what will become my new master... As much as I love light & generally avoid saying no to windows. I’m moving forward with eliminating them. (Primarily because my neighbor is also remodeling and just opened up his wall to add two additional windows on his second level & a door... which now has plain view of my Master BD... I’m in a ranch style. So...with that, I’m enlarging the only window in the room which will give me a nice view of the pool/backyard. THANK YOU, again!

cpartist --There are high windows the entire length of the house on that West wall, including at 3-4 directly facing the open den; see photo. they are directly above the long closet, which is just 5-6' high... Above the closet you have high windows. Still at first I was concerned and requested a pocket door from den to the bedroom adjacent, but that created other problems --and would be upsetting to the visitors I know will be using that room. Despite the high windows the den is somewhat dark compared to the rest of the house, but it will mostly be used for viewing film and screen work. Since this is only a partial renovation, there are many elements that are imperfect --every time I adjust for one problem another emerges. The only complete fix seems to require another house, altogether.

I'd place the bed between the two windows, too, along the top wall. I briefly flirted with the idea of putting the bed in the nook, but then thought, "Oh, man, no way; it's too deep to be able to comfortably make the bed, if it's shoved in there." :-/ I have a little loveseat in my master, which is where my decorative bed pillows sleep while I am sleeping in my bed. lol Y'all's room, though, looks a bit too large for that to be very convenient; it would be like playing corn hole toss every night. So, I think I'd go with jck's suggestion... A comfy lounge/fainting couch type of thing, with a floor lamp, and some bookshelves nearby for your current reading list.
