Pardon my impudence, but insisting on NO seams on shelf liners for a pantry by hogging it out of a solid 4'x6' sheet seems a little, uhhh, extreme. Couldn't you make do with some very nice shelf liners joined by a very nicely done tape job at the seam?

I know it sounds extreme but I have a ton of drawers that need lining and plan to use the remnants. I current use the Lifeliner and I suppose I could rig up something...Not sure if that will be any more cost effective in the long run

Okay, I agree, that is a different story. If you can reuse the remnants, I am with you.

Thanks for the input! I ended up going to Joann Fabric and bought 9 yards of 56" black marine vinyl. It was originally 16.99 sq yard but was able to use the 40% off coupon! Very happy with my purchase and hubby too!

Finally finished painting and putting down the liner. The vinyl worked out great! I wonder if should use some double sided tape on the front edges?

About the tape, I suppose it depends. What was your original goal with lining the shelves? To protect the shelves or to protect what was on them? If the former, then wouldn't tape undermine that goal? If the latter, then, sure!

I used commercial wallpaper, the kind that you have to add paste to before you hang it. It works great

I bought some vinyl sheets at HD. They're a harder plastic, which I cut with an exacto knife.
I think the closest comparison is the type of plastic vinyl they now sell to put on top of ventilated shelving, which IMHO, invalidates the point of ventilated shelving.

or at a fabric store (W used to sell it in their fabric area) you could buy oil cloth. It's not oily...lol!

it's a vinyl with a backing on it (like a felt). OR think of a vinyl tablecloth (that's like oil cloth).
