Just posted my almost finished kitchen with similar colors. I really like Golden Beaches and considered it for my island.

I have a fairly large Lapidus island (lots of movement) with Grey Amazon Silestone on the perimeter. I selected the Silestone early on and found the granite later. I think it would have been easier to select the granite for the island, then pick a coordinating quartz for the perimeter by pulling a color from the granite.

We have medium cherry stained cabinets and used Yellow Nile Silestone on the perimeter. That quartz has a bit of a pattern in it, but I loved the creamy yellow tone first and foremost. I had a heck of a time picking a center island granite to coordinate. I ended up going with leathered granite, Antique Brown.

After I had picked my Silestone, I carried a piece of it with me to the granite yards to look at it against various slabs. It ended up being quite a granite search.

It might be easier to start with a granite slab that you love, since you want the pattern there, and then investigate the quartz choices. I went the opposite way just because I loved the color of the quartz I chose.

I just looked at some photos of Golden Beaches granite. I think it's a very beautiful warm stone. Caesarstone has some very calm quartz that might coordinate well. I'm thinking of the Buttermilk, Champagne Limestone, or Desert Limestone.

Luv2Laf, I really like your granite with that gray quartz. I'm not a gray fan, but you've created a very warm space. It sounds like you had the same trouble I did in going with the quartz first.

Thanks for the feedback. It really helps to see photos! Luv2Laf, your kitchen is beautiful. Like doonie, I wouldn't of thought of gray, but I love how yours turned out. For my space, I could see that granite paired with a creamy-tanish quartz.

Doonie, I am going to check out the quartz color suggestions you made. Could you please post some pics of your choices? I would love to see how yours turned out.

I asked this question at the beginning of my renovation too and 2 years ago, if I remember correctly, I got a lot of responses on not doing it. A wood center island seemed to a lot of the consensus because some people don't like the look/idea of mixing a natural stone with a man made.

And this shows the pattern in the quartz that I had a tough time coordinating the granite with.

Your kitchen is beautiful! Have you been happy with the quartz pattern? And the combination? I am attracted to the flowing movement of some of the granites, but I am afraid it will be too much in the whole kitchen

Thanks so much Abfabamy! I really like like it. My GC tried to talk me out of the quartz at first by using the descriptor "blotchy", but I love the color of it and the "blotches" are very close in color to the medium cherry tone.

When we had our temporary plywood countertops on for templating, I realized that the color of the Silestone was the same as the plywood! Apparently I really love wood tones.

You can see why I had a really tough time with the granite though. I was afraid of having too much of the quartz pattern all through my kitchen too, which is why I wanted a calm center island. I couldn't find a coordinating quartz, which is why I ended up with granite.

I love the flowing granites too, but like you, it would be too much for me to have on all surfaces. It may take some time, but you should be able to find stones that work well together.
