bm navajo white?
Comments (9)I repainted my Master Bathroom from Ralph Lauren Deep Cream to BM Navajo White and that lemon went away and instead a soft creamy light golden tan that does have some orange tints in it is now on the wall that looks nice with the Bone bathtub, toilet and sink. Before the wall color just did not feel right to me. BM Navajo White seems to be a lighter BM Bone White in my eyes since I love the BM Bone White that I have in my hallways and family room as well as my kitchen. Sherwin William's Navajo White is a very close match to BM Bone White but Bone White is slightly more golden. Sherwin William's Navajo White is darker than Bm Navajo White. I have Sherwin William's Extra White Gloss on all my trim and doors to make the wall color look more like a color and I love the clean look. I also have white ceilings that really brighten up the rooms I feel from what I had before. By the way ever since I bought white sheer curtains to put on the side of my Linen Honeycomb Duet Blinds, I started to enjoy the Ralph Lauren Deep Cream on my walls in my Master Bedroom. Lighting, light bulbs, no natural light or a lot of natural light and the colors in the room really affect the paint color on the wall. I used BM Pearl Paint finish which is not as shiny as Satin or Semi-Gloss but more shiny than Eggshell. In my home office, the Pearl finish appears flat without a chalky look....See MoreBM Linen White or Navajo white -- your thoughts please. . .

Comments (8)Use the Google image search. I Googled Benjamin Moore Acadia White paint and came up w/ lots of pics. Here's an interesting take on whites: Whether it's choosing a trim color, a main wall color or exterior color, white can frustrate and confuse even those who consider themselves having a good eye for color. There are cool whites, warm whites, whites with a number of undertones such as green or blue and whites that shift in different lights or times of day. Often it is recommended to use cooler whites with cooler colors or more bright colors while applying warmer whites with warmer or more muted colors. In spaces with low natural light, white can often look gray or yellowish. But my biggest rule is that there is always room to break color rules when it is your space you are choosing colors for. Your preferrence and comfort with color should always prevail. So what are some tried and true whites that designers and color experts often turn to? Many color consultants prefer a slightly warmer white without veering off into the cream palates. Benjamin Moore's biggest selling paint color happens to be Linen White. Experts often swear by this color for almost any situation. It is a very warm white that tends to work well with other colors. Ivory White is also a favorite as well as Bavarian White. For cooler whites, Benjamin Moore's Montgomery White, Decorator White and Super White are popular for their crispness and trueness. Pratt and Lambert's Silver White is also hard to go wrong with as well as Behr's Moon White. Benjamin Moore's Atrium white is a well loved white but can have a blue undertone to it in some light. Acadia White from Benjamin Moore is a lovely white with a green cast to it. From: colormarie's blog...See MoreCabinet color: BM Mayonnaise and/or BM Linen White
Comments (10)If you are down to just two colors it would be a good idea to buy a sample (even if that means a quart) and paint a good size area of each in the space you plan to use it. I find it helpful when I paint an edge to touch. Check on the colors throughout the course of several days, hopefully with differing amounts of sun. Don't forget to see how they look at night too. I was between two different BM whites and this process made it clear that one read too yellow in my space for my taste. Who knows, maybe this is why so many shades of white are available? Either that or they just have a lot of great names they want to use! I find subtle differences hard to read well on a computer screen. HTH...See Morelke2decor
