where oh where to find those towel hang thingies

New kitchen (pic to follow when I come down to earth from the excitment of seeing it 99% done) doesnt allow for reusing my vintage towel rack...but does anyone know where to get those little hooks that hang over the TOP of your base cabinet where I could hook a dish towel?

Counter install was today and it brought the whole kitchen together as many of you had predicted so I held off posting my anxieties ( the cabinets without the counter were not wowing me except in the $$ department!

I vow to learn to post pics to share cause Ive been posting and lurking for 12 months and am finally done...

Like these? Do a search on Bed Bath & Beyond for towel hook, they have lots of finishes and styles.

Slow, thank you for posting that site. I had seen that some people on these forums were using the crystals on their Christmas trees and thought they were really pretty. At the little store where I work--there are some for $11.00 each and some smaller ones that are $1.00 each. I was thinking about buying some of the $1.00 ones--but the site you shared with us has them with the round crystal on top for waaay less. Even with shipping costs--you just saved me money! Shanghaimom and Christine- If my setup was like yours, I would definitely put the towel rack on the back of the door, but the back of the door of the toilet room seems out of the way and I don't think I want to hang a towel rack on the front of the toilet room door, although it is always open. Babka, what a good idea of hanging a "dummy" towel hook on the right with a towel. I have one more idea I might try before I order another towel hook. I might be able to cushion the bottom hook that holds the towel with foam on the end of the hook and tie it in place. The towel would always cover the foam! I just don't know how the foam will hold up or if it will fall off. It would probably hold the towel better. HaHa Maybe I should have bought one of those train rack shelves and put deep bath towels on top?

Mnerg, I hang towels on a simple long handle like Threebees, only it's a regular drawer handle that's even simpler and shorter (holds any kitchen towel folded in half lengthwise). It does NOT match my other, regular handles--but no one notices because of the towel hanging on it, and that's what I wanted to point out. The handle is the same metal as the others and has simple bent ends with no mass or detail to stick out and grab attention. BTW, I have two. One is also on my garbage pullout next to the sink. No matter how messy my hands are, it doesn't matter with a towel always there. But the other is on the inside of my island right where my hands get messy 95% of the time. When I think of the things I did right in this kitchen these little details always leap right out.

I believe Linen and Things carry them as well. I know I tried one of them and had to give it away. They didn't fit over my cabinet door. The space where it hangs wasn't wide enough to fit over the door of the cabinet.

I use a little towel stand I picked up at Linen and Things that is normally used in a bathroom for hand towels. I have it on my counter since there is no place to hang a towel rack in my kitchen.

I am going to use a towel rack that is attached to the inside of the cabinet door under my sink. I saw one in the Woodworker's Hardware catalog for around $6.00. It has three bars, and it could also hold my long handled brush, etc. Nothing fancy, but it is out of sight. I found this one while searching.
