Here's my drop-in sink tip - some sinks marketed as undermounts are actually installable as drop-in! I found out after buying it that it can be mounted undermount or topmount - right now it's temporarily installed topmount and looks fine. The flange has a finished edge and the surface is the same finish as the inside of the sink. It includes a sturdy rinse grid, a really nice basket strainer assembly, and it has a good soundproofing pad on the bottom. The drain is slightly to the back which gives me more space under the sink for a trash organizer. My ultra-picky husband was impressed. I am not one who wants to see my reflection in my sink so I can't comment on whether it shows water spots or not because I don't fuss about those things. I do love the rounded corners for ease of cleaning. It is replacing a wider double bowl sink but I'm so happy to have a single sink now! If I want division I can always use a separate tub in the sink but right now I love the larger space - especially as my faucet is higher and more powerful now. I don't have the sink/counter installed yet but I'll post a picture of what I got going on. Also have 2 drain pipes so I'm thinking if the one is to high I could use the other one.

The "T" can be installed under the left drain and the disposal ran into it, then the trap.

I went with an offset drain in my new single basin. It was very easy for the installers to modify the existing drain pipe & trap to fit. In my 30" base cabinet with the offset drain, I have a disposal, a soap dispenser, two cans on a pullout for trash and recycling, and another small can on another pullout for compost. Plus the dishwasher detergent, liquid detergent, sponges, cleanser, tape, flashlight, extension cord, dust cloths and a few other items. You need to decide what is essential for under the sink, find homes for other things (if you can), and invest in cabinet organizers & pullouts that will work for you. Look at Ikea for ideas, and other companies that make/sell such (Google is your friend!) Especially look for either a two-tiered pullout (with the upper shelve narrow) or a pullout bin that attaches to the sidewall of the cabinet.
