Soap dispenser or no soap dispenser?
Comments (36)Can anyone recommend a dispenser with a LONG spout? The one we have now (Price Pfister) has an utterly useless 2" spout. I have found a 3 7/8" spout, also 3 1/2", but am wondering if there are any that are longer. The new sink is 10" deep. We weren't going to get a new soap dispenser, but after reading this thread, I thought, "I don't want ugly bottles on my new granite!" I could do a rack mounted on the sink cabinet door, but I think the dispenser is neater :-) It just needs a long spout so it can actually squirt dish soap into the pots, instead of dribbling down the side of the sink. Will definitely get a NeverMT--so glad that I heard of it here!...See MoreYay!! Ordered my faucet & sink- but which soap dispenser??
Comments (5)Congrats Staceyneil!! I was so happy when I finally ordered my sink and faucets too! One less thing to worry about! Did you ask the folks at Home & Stone what they recommended to go with the faucet? Do you have a local plumbing store where you can go look at their displays to see what they paired your faucet with for a soap dispenser? What did they pair it with on the Hansgrohe site? Sometimes on plumbing websites when you click on a particular faucet they will pop up smaller pictures recommending items to go with the one you are viewing. Good luck! Comments (6)jshore, i just finished our kitchen and have the grohe bridgeford pull down faucet and i LOVE it!! i have it in polished chrome and did buy the matching grohe soap dispenser (polished chrome) and i think they look beautiful together. got them at irawoods, the dispenser was 65.00, free shipping and no tax. yes you can find polished chrome elsewhere, just make sure it is what you want and the finish is good so it won't rub off. good luck!!...See MoreI am losing my mind...Danze Faucet in brushed nickel--really?
Comments (8)Danze is known for its high style and reasonable price. When asked about this or any other brand I always reply that you get what you pay for i.e. you can many times get a great looking Danze fixture for 50% of the cost of a high end fixture like Grohe. I also believe you have to look at how long will you be using this fixture or staying in this home? If not forever why spend the money on Grohe when if all things failed including Danze's guarantee you could still go out and buy another one and probably not spend as much as you would for some others. With that said I have a Grohe Bridgeford pull down(replaced the worst Kohler ever made) and love it and always kiddingly tell people I drive a Mercedes (a very old one) and so I like German things so I bought the Grohe. As far as other brands at reasonable costs I feel that quality and guarnatee wise Moen is hard to beat. They have since 1985 had a lifetime guarnatee and I read at least once per week where they have replaced an entire faucet for someone that was so old parts couldnt be gotten for it. Thats hard to beat. For a good price comparison on several brands, someone else mentioned National Builders Supply, and in interest of fairness Ive made no secret that I know the owners personally(really nice folks) and they own another online site called "danze factory outlet" I think. If nothing else the NBS website will give you the chance to look at most every brand from Danze to Grohe and everything in between whether you buy anything from them or not. I hope this helps....See MoreTxMarti
