Need recommendations for soap dispenser

My brand new Hamat soap dispenser is leaking soap all over the place. The pump mechanism appears to be poorly designed.

Can anyone recommend a brand/model that's worked well for them? It has to be compatible with a Never-M-T. Thanks.

I have two and they BOTH do that!

I contacted Hamat (800-369-6338) and here is the reply email I received from Stephan Boedecker
StephanB@spc-volta.com

"Remove the heads every couple of weeks and soak the plastic pump and straw
in hot water and vinegar. The Soap is to be diluted 50-50 with water also.
Too think wont travel and the metal head will get clogged."

To be fair, I never diluted my dish soap and frankly I buy a version of Dawn which says it is super concentrated.

I'm hoping this will fix my issue - and yours!

Mine has been leaking since Day 1. It hasn't even been used "a couple of weeks." And the soap IS diluted about 50/50, although I didn't measure it exactly.

Are you using the Never-M-T with yours? I don't think that's causing the leakage, but if I can't use the Never-M-T with the Hamat, then I need to buy another brand.

Recommendations, folks?

Hi Ak. NeverMT is the name of the nifty gadget I, and many of us here, use. It has tubing that connects from the bottom of the soap disposer under the sink to a bottle of whatever liquid soap or detergent you want. The bottle cab be whatever size you want. This is sooooooo much easier than refilling the little plastic bottle that comes with the disposer. If you google around GW, you'll find some folks who have made their own with tubing and whatever else is needed. I'm not that handy so bought mine. Here is a link that might be useful: NeverMT

Can anyone recommend a dispenser with a LONG spout? The one we have now (Price Pfister) has an utterly useless 2" spout. I have found a 3 7/8" spout, also 3 1/2", but am wondering if there are any that are longer. The new sink is 10" deep. We weren't going to get a new soap dispenser, but after reading this thread, I thought, "I don't want ugly bottles on my new granite!" I could do a rack mounted on the sink cabinet door, but I think the dispenser is neater :-) It just needs a long spout so it can actually squirt dish soap into the pots, instead of dribbling down the side of the sink. Will definitely get a NeverMT--so glad that I heard of it here!

Kohler K1995CP Countertop Brass Soap and Lotion Dispenser, Polished Chrome, dont know how large a thing you can put under, the one that comes with it is quite large. It was tight to fit container between sink and cabinet back. It has a pretty long reach spout to hang over sink (no drips on counter).

The NeverMt one was the one I was looking for, but my faucets are Kohler. The plumbing guy said that you fill the Kohler ones from the top. So can I use the Kohler one with the NeverMt? How does that work? Thank you!

Hi, I bought a Mountain plumbing soap dispenser on sale for around $40. They are solid brass (with many finishes) and are Teflon lined. The one I have has a 3" long straight soap spicket thingy that I had mounted so it hangs over sink slightly. I have only used it for a very short time but have not noticed leakage. My concern was having something hardy for the apes in my house and the anticipation that they would be messy. We have a Never-Mt as well, works nice.

wondering if the soap needs to be diluted with ALL dispensers? anyone know?

I've never diluted the soap for a dispenser in 40 years of washing dishes and never had any leaks. I now have this one:

I just ordered a Mountain Plumbing dispenser. I'd never heard of this company before so I was glad to hear of your positive experience. Hopefully it will fit in the hole that was cut for the Hamat.
