Comments (9)It looks like you have some pink and yellow undertones in the colors you have now. I would definitely recommend bringing the paint chips home and compare in your own light. Better still ask if they will make you a sample pot. I recently decided to buy a gallon of White Dove (BM) based on tons of beautiful photos here and everyone seems to love it as a "soft white" for cabinets. But when I test painted it in my kitchen it looked sickly green-yellow and dingy! I ended up having to buy another gallon of paint in Simply White, which I ended up loving. The moral of the story is that whites can have tricky undertones and the last thing you want with those colors is a greenish or grayish undertone. So do try the chips and samples! With the right shade of white, that's going to be beautiful....See MorePaint samples got you down??? Etcetera...
Comments (8)Red - good summary of the agonizing trials of picking out paint. Couple of questions: Do the foam boards paint better than poster paper? Also, I have always heard that SW could mix the BM paint forumlas....love those $5 samples they mix. I tried to get an older color mixed and they could not mix it. I know it has been around a few years - it is the Limestone on the Baby Turtle/Flowering Herb strip. Perhaps I should try another SW store??? One thing I will add to your suggestions - just because it looks gorgeous in your daughter, sister, friend, etc's house does not mean it will look the same in your house! Been there, tried that. My daughter has Believable Buff in her entire downstairs. I thought...hmmmm, simple, safe, matches everything, nice golden tan during the day, nice safe tan at night. It was NASTY in my house because of my light. Tuesday...See MoreGot my sample door!
