What is your favorite website for ordering faucets, etc.
Comments (12)Thanks so much for the suggestions! I spent a LOT of time online making my decisions tonight...and wound up with the Danze Fairmont centerset bathroom faucet for $123.36 and the Danze Fairmont Shower/Tub combo fixture for $147.36. Both in brushed nickel and both from danzefaucetwarehouse.com. Prices around the Internet for Danze seemed to all have the same 15% off sale ending tomorrow...so I thought the prices were at least reasonable. And I've been VERY happy with my Danze Opulence faucet in brushed nickel in my kitchen for two years. Can't say enough great things about how solid it feels and the sheen to the finish. LOVE it!! I actually had it all ready to go on faucetdirect.com, but realized at the last minute they were out of stock. A very nice woman on the phone there said that if they are out of stock of Danze, it takes about three weeks for them to get a new shipment and then they ship it to you. Anyway, thanks again for the input! Sarah...See MoreTell me about your favorite kitchen faucet !!!
Comments (20)I love my KWC faucet. It's not too tall, so doesn't splash, the sink is 9" deep. I like the fact that the spray can be activated by pressing down with the wrist. I find it more ergonomical than having to twist my wrist and use my thumb to activate the spray. I went to a place with a large selection of faucets and tried them out. It was $375, so pricey, but worth it....See Morekohler high end sinks and faucets
Comments (39)Nope, no complaints about drain placement---and I say that as someone who actually did think we wanted a rear drain when I started looking at sinks. (The only options with rear drains didn't work out for other reasons.) The stream of our faucet hits just about dead even in the center of the drain, but that's 100% coincidental---both the sink placement and the wall-mount faucet placement were dictated by established elements (sink centered on two windows in room, placement of plumbing pre-existing and not possible to move b/c of studs). Our faucet does swivel, though (as do most I think?) and can easily reach the dish tub and strainer we often put in the sink on one side or the other without impeding the drain. The Kohler Cape Dory cutting board is indeed beveled to hug the shape of the sink. My issue with it is not the board itself (beautiful quality and made in USA which was a pleasant surprise, and where I live there's no way you could get one for any less by having it custom made---the Kohler one was only $35 or so) but the fact that it sits lower than the counter surface, which isn't super comfortable to cut on ergonomically. However, I think (?) the sink can be either undermounted or self-rimming, so that may explain why. Regardless, I wouldn't bother with this accessory....See More"High-end" bathroom exhaust fan?
Comments (11)I have the fantech fan in my attic and 2 ducts run to it from my bathroom ceiling. Room is 8x10 and is our "big bathroom". I have lighted vents with 50watt halogen bulbs in them. One vent at the toilet area and the other in the shower. I called fantech for specs and assistance in ordering the correct combination. They were very helpful. They have a helpful website iirc. It's been 3 years and still going strong. I requested my brother put ridged ducts in mine and my DS insulated them against our cold winters. No issue. I have it hooked up to a controller on the wall that is manual. I don't forget to turn it on for showering. Nothing gets steamy :) The light switch is on a dimmer. I never use the dimmer. I have 2 doors into the room so a light switch at each. There is about 3/4" gap at the floor at each door to allow make up air to enter, when fan is on....See Moreoldbat2be
