OT Do all pics have to first be uploaded to Photobucket?

Just a quick question that I hope no one takes offense to. I know there are tutorials for this on GW, and I have read them...and can actually now post pics in the body of my message. Yippee! But my question is, do you always have to upload your image to a hosting site to then get it to embed here in your post on GW? For instance, I want to embed the pic of this outdoor post lantern (and a few others) in the body of my message I'm composing for Home Decorating. Is the only way you can do that is to FIRST upload it to Photobucket, Flickr, etc? Or, is there a way to do it without that? Or, maybe what I'm asking is how do you post just the image of that lantern with no text or words coming along with it from the retail site? Know what I mean?

I'm going to apologize right here and now for asking this question as I'm sure it's been covered "SOMEWHERE" on GW. Thanks for any help...I'm ducking now.
