It's very pretty! I personally would have a problem with the functionality of the prep situation, as I don't feel like it flows very well from the sink to the stove. I'd like it better if the two perimeter walls were switched.

questions:
- what does the doorway to the Right of the fridge go?
- what room is past pantry?

for me:
- I find the cooktop wall cramped w/ all those things there. I'd want more elbow room. I also prep/cook between a sink and stove, which is ~24" of countertop between island sink and the cooktop.
When I cook/usually at cooktop, I don't want anyone near me/walking through traffic.

- I like big span of countertop, so I would do 1 level island.
also, i have never understood the 2-level island thing.

I agree with raenjapan about the prep space, and the stove is a hazard zone if there is a lot of traffic through the door (only a problem when you have guests, though).

Your fridge won't open right next to the wall - you'll need some filler, or cut the wall back so the fridge door extends past it.

Maybe put the cooktop on the wall behind your island. I agree having the wall ovens, cooktop and then fridge on that one wall seems to cram it all together without much prep space around any of it. If you center it on the other wall you will be closer to the main sink and will have good prep/landing space around all the appliances. Also, I would get rid of any lower cabinets and use drawers everywhere instead.

ETA...I love the 2 level island.

I would put the cooktop on the wall that faces the long side of the island, a prep sink on the island, and the cleanup sink and DW where the cooktop was. This is because you have enough room to more clearly separate the prep, cook and cleanup spaces, so you should - why wouldn't you? :) Also, if you really cook, you spend most of your time prepping so that is what the island space should be so you can look out at your space, and it should be spacious, so that is why I moved the cooktop to face the long side of the island.

I would then move the fridge or the ovens to the cooktop wall to free up counter space by the sink.

To make the sink wall prettier, I would do something like a mirror above. I'll link some examples. You could also hang artwork instead!

I like the stove on the hall wall. Very nice kitchen space.
On a side note. Since you only have one eating space, I would push that wall out to make the space a sunroom casual dining space.
Check out your laundry room space. I think you need a wider isle to fit in a washer and dryer and be able to work in front of it. I would make a smaller powder room and add that space to the laundry room.

I'll give this some more thought, but my immediate thought is the kitchen is too fussy now. You have a million different heights of things happening -- 3 different height things on the range wall, two heights on the island (3 if i you count the pendants), and two heights of cabinets on the other wall.

I would definitely look into streamlining some of this stuff. One large island light fixture instead of four separate pendants, a one-level island, a single, standard height for the upper cabinets on all walls with maybe just the hood featured at a higher height. Perhaps just have all the uppers run to the ceiling for the cleanest look.

I'd pick two things you really love to be the anomalies that stand out and line up everything else.

Am I seeing THREE pot fillers on that last wall, tracie.erin?
