Tile edge on laminate counter?

We are about to embark upon a remodel of our 1975 dropped-ceiling kitchen. We're using laminate for the counter to keep the cost down and because we like it. (I feel eyes rolling.) So that being said, I'm having difficulty coming up with an edging style that works. The eating bar side of the pennisula will be curved, so most of the fabricated choices such as bullnose or double round can't be used on that side. I recall seeing a house that had a laminate island with an edging of small bullnose-type decorative tiles, but I can't find anything like this. Is there a special tile for this purpose, or can small ones be used? The semi-circular side has a very large radius to the curve. I'm open to any other suggestions for anything but a square edge or wood - I have a wood edge now and I don't like it. BTW the laminate will be Formica Green Soapstone with offwhite painted-glazed cabinets.
