grout color for subway and carrera marble
Comments (4)There are cool silvers and warm silvers. Are you planning on using the same grout for both tiles? I have used Latacrete's Silver Shadow with great results. It, to me, is a cool silver. Do a sample board! Do not grout without this test. Soon I will be grouting the shower porcelain, and using Latacrete's Sterling Silver, which is warmer to me, and slightly darker, so I will be mixing with some white in a 1:2 ratio. One part Sterling and 2 parts White. I have done this with my other installations with excellent results. The Silver Shadow is very light though and I didn't lighten that one with my first bath remodel. Here is my current sample board:...See MoreCarrera marble counters..? Kids bath..?
Comments (3)hi CM, Don't know if you've seen any of my beach house pics but I just did the same in my kids' bath and master (although in the master we have hardwood). I also did carrara on the counter and shower walls and a grey tile floor-white walls. Boring? Not in my opinion because this was the look I was going for. I am planning on painting above the beadboard, a pale turquoise (maybe). If I recall this is your FL home? Check out the New Ravenna (tiles) site for inspiration. They have some beautiful floors especially the basketweave style . I think a dark brown would look really nice with the carrara or a driftwood grey-brown. I really like the tiles that look like wood, and those beautiful ones that look like linen. Florida Tile has a really beautiful selection....See MoreWhat color tile floors with carrera marble vanity top?
Comments (7)I am going with a similar look and am doing a carrara & nero marble basketweave faux rug for the floor. I will probably have darker bardiglio tiles around the edges of the room and there will be a cararra twisted rope border (and nero liner tiles on each side of the rope) to delineate the "rug". This way, the pattern does not overwhelm the room and it is a very pretty look in and of itself. I wish I had a mock up of it because even dh has not seen what I chose (other than the basketweave middle), lol. Oh... and am using dark gray grout because white would be just plain suicidal in our house. Maybe Bill V has done similar and has a pic?...See MoreCabinet color with bianco carrera marble
Comments (1)We used SW Dover white for our master bath with the same marble. Not sure how that would jibe with Swiss Coffee tho......See Moreeam44
