What a lovely table and free besides that.
It looks really nice and I would keep the walking sticks right there. When you have something made for you by a loved one why not let them have the place of honor where you can see them everyday.

Good score! The table is wonderful in that corner. I wouldn't put the hiking sticks away either. Maybe you just don't like them in that pot or in that location. You will find a "forever" home for them.

Well, I like the whole vignette. Love the table and what a bargain! I would keep the hiking sticks there. I think it all looks great together.

Great little table. My old roomie had one similar, but with a wood inlay top rather than leather.

As for the walking sticks, if you use them I would keep them in a container near the door. If you just have them for display, you could keep them near the door or wrap some leather cording around them a couple of times to create a hanging loop, and hang them by the door.

That is one of my favorite style tables. I have two, though they don't have the leather top.

Don't you just love free!! That is a gorgeous table - a classic. But I have to tell you the lamp on the table does it for me!!! Love it:) And the peak of the rug with the drape on the lady in the painting....looks wonderful.

As for the walking sticks, I like that idea. In fact, I've been storing our two like that for years and it works fine as long as the dogs don't run into them ;^P

Littledog, I'll have to take a photo of that painting. I found it tucked away in a corner of a booth at an antique mall. There's an adobe house with that flowering tree out front, and it reminds me very much of some wonderful places I've seen in New Mexico.

Wouldn't it be neat if you could somehow incorporate photos of your hikes, like the one above - which is spectacular btw! - into a collage or maybe place them into a rustic photo album (wood cover bound w/ leather strips?) to place on your sweet new table near your beloved walking sticks? I love how you decorate.
