Create a Gallery Photo Templates - WHITE

I want to decorate a wall with different sized family photos in white frames. I am searching for a package of frames with a template for easy hanging.

I saw a website with a package but it is $350 for 10 frames and the template, which IMO is not worth it.

I came across a good set at BBB (see link) but it only comes in brown and black and I want white.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

No sarcasm meant, but isn't that what paint is for??!! Seriously - if you like the frames, take all the glass and backing out and just spray them white.

I know...I was considering that...Just short on time and desire to add more things to my "to do" list...

I think *maybe* we have corrected this mystery then. Especially with Dave's information. We know, from Edwin that #1 = 'Fatima' #2 = 'Atlas' #3 = 'Marokko' #4 = 'Tuarek' And that unless there is some other flukey 'WB#7' discovered, this plant doesn't exist. It also looks very similar to 'Atlas', is *not* 'Fatima'(#1) and not 'Tuarek'(#4). If you write the letter '2' it you're in a hurry or it's a little sloppy, the bottom slash could be misread or lost in translation and the number becomes '7'. Therefore, without suggesting 100% this is the answer, I am now fairly confident that this is the answer. Abies pinsapo 'WB#7' is actually Abies pinsapo 'WB#2' and thus Abies pinsapo 'Atlas'. Abies pinsapo 'Kelleris'. No real info but at this point it seems slower growing. I've listed in my database that it is hardier then normal, perhaps the reason for it's selection. 'Horstmann'. As noted by Clement earlier I think, this plant eventually starts to put on some not-so-dwarf growth. Four years in the ground, Mine is now doing so and I may prune it out. -Will

Thanks for advice tj. I suspect my biggest difference will be the hot humid days of July and August versus the normally cool dry days it would get in its native environment. I've attached the URL of a pic of what it currently looks like in case anyone's interested. Anyone else out there growing this plant that has any advice? I suspect this normally grows in full sun; hence, I'm a bit concerned about putting it in too much shade. I'd also like to keep it compact in growth and not let it get too leggy. I guess if nothing else, I just make a leap of faith and try it where I want to grow it and see how it does. By the way, I tried to include a picture inline here, but it seems the limit is 61K for a picture size, which is really low resolution. How do you all get such good looking pictures included inline and still meet the 61K size? I looked for advice, but the best I came up with was to use something like photobucket (which is what I did here). Thanks! Here is a link that might be useful:

Will, you have to change the 'Hedergott' into 'Heddergott' It's found as a witches'broom by my German friend Werner WÃ¯Â¿Â½stemeyer in 1986. Abies veitchii 'Heine' was also found as a witches'broom by Werner WÃ¯Â¿Â½stemeyer in 1991. Abies veitchii 'Haltern' is also found in Germany, I don't know the founders name... Abies veitchii 'Kramer' This is also a witches'broom found in Germany by the Kramer Nursery. Abies veitchii 'Rumburk' This witches'broom is found in the Czech Republic and is very differend from all the other Abies veitchii witches'brooms by it's nice silvery blue colour.

Red Envelope has a system that's only about $80. It doesn't come in white, but it's also not $350. Sorry I can't post a picture or a link from this computer...

Some white spray paint, a stack of old newspapers, scissors and a ruler you should be in business.
Trace out the frames on newspaper cut them out and hanging them on the wall to see where the stuff should go.
The only thing to watch out for is the hangers on the back. Take your finger and balance the pic by the hanger then measure how far down the center you need to go to lay your hook/nail.
Spray paint frames white. It doesn't take that long.

I'd check out exactly what the template is that the BB&B item includes. Maybe you'll find that you don't need that at all. Lots of people here (incl. me) use the regular cut-to-frame-size kraft paper to play around with the gallery layout. Then you can buy white frames that suit your style and get them in exactly the sizes you need, not what those expensive packages give you. Michaels, ACMoore have good discount coupons nearly every week.

(The bother of spray-painting isn't something I'd do, either. Unless I got the frames for a steal!)

I came across this great site that has frames with customized mattes available for very reasonable prices. Wish I would have found it before I spent $80 on 2 mattes at a big box framing store last month!

I'd like to do a gallery wall similar to one shown on a blog I follow (Pure Style Home) and whose home was featured in one of my decorating magazines. She mentioned that her frames/mattes came from this site.

You can customize the matte to any size and cutout that you need. I haven't tried it yet so I can't speak as to the quality, but a basic white frame and matte should be simple enough.
