What otr microwave with Electrolux duel fuel?
Comments (9)I just purchased an Electrolux OTC microwave #EI30MH55GSA, the same one Stacy referred to as a lemon on July 9. I wish I had seen your posting because although mine is working fine the recirculating fan is not doing its job. I am getting excess moisture on the microwave when I use the front burners, and on the backsplash when I use the back ones. I have the induction dual fuel electrolux range and love it. I have been trying to find out if anyone has an OTC with a more powerful non vented (recirculating) fan. I might be able to return this one (to the store I bought it from)and buy a better one but I am not sure if any recirculating OTC microwave will work efficiently. I like the look and its performance otherwise. Stacy, the Electrolux customer service person told me they would replace mine after 3 functional failures and if deemed unrepairable. Is there anyway for this comment to be emailed to Stacy? Marc, you have probably already purchased your micro, but I have gotten used to the control panel on mine. At first I had to read the manual to defrost soup, etc. Now that the learning curve is over I'm ok with it!...See MoreGE Cafe Dual Fuel Range & Backsplash & Depth
Comments (5)I've had the GE Cafe Duel Fuel range since the end of May. I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to have a backsplash behind your range. Mine does not go all the way back to the wall. I wish it did, but with the gas connection the piping juts out from the wall so that my range can't go back all the way. My range actually juts out at least 2.5" from the wall. Unfortunately, that causes the sides of my range to show (about 2"). When I asked the installer (from the gas company), he said that the pipe had to be that way. I didn't have time to question him - we were in a time crunch and literally only had two hours to get the thing installed. When I eventually renovate my kitchen though, I'm going to ask about that. That said, the depth of the range, not including the door, is 24" and with the door, it is 26". I don't have a backsplash currently behind my range, but there is one above my counter. It's only about 1/2" deep so even if my range were pushed all the way back, that particular backsplash shouldn't have interfered if it went all the way across. The only thing I do notice is that the fan from the oven is across the back of the stove and rises about 1.5" from the top of the stove. It's flush with the back of the range though, so it still shouldn't impede the range from being against the wall. Am I making sense? However, I am no expert so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I just thought I'd provide you with the actual measurements. Hope that helps! BTW, so far, I love the range!...See More30 inch dual fuel, GE Monogram or Wolf
Comments (17)Hello again. I am a member of the Manhattan NKBA as such monogram invited me and about 12 others to their experience center in Louisville last year for a few days. This was not to sell their products but to show us how to use them and also to pick our brains as to what consumers want and what they can do better. One part consisted of us going around a room with 4 pro ranges ( 48" models) and clipboards simply comparing the 4 and features. The Thermador simply had amazing quality and everything felt great and solid. Things like opening the door etc. We also had specs and the burner output on Thermadors star burners is the best in the industry. Knobs feel good, there is great lighting and it is all easy to read. We were told that WOLF has amazing customer service. I am aware of that. Their range was the worst. Compared to the others it actually felt " cheap" borderline rickety and I can not believe I am saying this as I always loved the way it looked.. The GE had a lot of great features. Like racks that can stay inside the oven when self cleaning. I do believe I remember all the others have to be removed as they are plated and can not withstand the very high heat.Clean by hand this means. The oven capacity was also very large. Top is easy to move pots and pans around on as the entire cast iron surface is large and level. You can flip the iron around and have a moulded surfaces for wok pans... The parts are pieced together and can easily fit into a dishwasher. The knobs are easy to turn and read. Soft closing door. Great burner output. Easy to install with feet that have huge wheels under them. Can be leveled easily. The list just went on..... Still our main criticism was that it looked " boring" LOL. Not much personality. It's still pricey and it all checked out but a secret part of me wanted those red knobs... I know it's probably a sick personality flaw of mine... Like lusting after Loubotin shoes. We all know they hurt but want them anyways... After all this I just ordered a 30" dual fuel monogram for my place in New York. I will get it next week. I have an older Viking in Florida and all the lettering on the front has come off simply by cleaning it! I like the Viking but that alone is a shame. No one seems to sells those decals to have them stuck back on!!! I have no idea how I am cooking on that thing. I believe VIKING was sold last year and its been upgraded since then but I have no personal experience with the newer models so far....See MoreGE dual fuel cafe help needed, please
Comments (2)I have a GE Cafe double oven range--it's all gas, but it has the same stainless steel top. We've had it installed for a little over a month and haven't had issues with scratching, but we have been careful not to scrub it with anything abrasive. One thing I wanted to mention, we had an issue with the install because the back of the range will not get totally flush with the back wall. The way it's designed, there is a small gap at the back, so it doesn't slide all the way in. We were able to minimize the gap by running the backsplash a few inches below the top of the range, but it's still apparent if you look closely....See Moregpraceman55
