What a beautiful job you did with everything. You might try looking at thrift or antique stores for art for the walls and lamps. Wall sconces would be nice if you found some with a vintage/antique look to them.

You made all of that? Wow! I've been trying to find an identical comforter in the stores but in different colors. I love the comforter you made because the weight seems like it can be used year round. Maybe you should go into business? lol.

Wow....Your headboard, bedding, and table skirts are luscious, so warm and rich. The little lantern does belong on the dresser, I think, so that was a good move. I would get a medium size table lamp for the bedside, perhaps with a 3-way switch, and also get a smaller floor torchiere to place in the area between the chair and the dresser, or on the other side of the bed if there's room, or wherever you might want it. Or perhaps the table lamp and the lantern would be enough lighting, depending on your room size.

How about oil rubbed bronze (ORB) swing-arm lamps for each side of the bed?

Maybe a standing lamp (again maybe a swing arm style) in ORB for the chair in the corner?

These are pricey lamps, but they would look so pretty, maybe Ballard Designs would have something similar for less?

Then I envision some pretty antique small picture frames, maybe in mother of pearl or antiqued silver. Something natural like some stone balls/spheres or some sort or something with a rough texture...hmm not sure what just to give a roughness to play off the softness and sheen of the beautiful silk. Maybe a small rough stone statue if that makes sense, something that looks old? How old is your daughter though?

A beautiful enamel or handpainted jewelry box maybe?

Beautiful room. You are amazing at your sewing talents. I think a floor lamp , as Jan suggested would look nice behind the chair. I think it would also look nice if you opened the chifforobe door slightly and hung an antique looking gown or baby's gown. Also I would add more pictures on the shelf with the antique lamp on nightstand. Then maybe hang a pair of antique baby's shoes on one of the drawer or door handles. It does not have to be a baby's room to add that style of decor. I do think you need a larger lamp on the round bedside table. Then maybe a stack of two old books with an antique figurine.

I see a small crystal chandelier abive the bed.

Thank you, everyone, for your comments and advice thus far. I'm not that good at accessorizing, and knew that many of you here are, that's why I posted. I've found, though, that I've already learned a little from you......because I did think that what needed to be added would need a rougher, aged texture, to play off all of the rich fabrics used. So, I'm learning from the GW members as I go!

Evidence of that is that we already looked at some small lamps like lesmis suggested at Home Goods, and my daughter will probably pick up one of those for the bedside table. I'm liking the idea of a swing arm floor lamp beside the chair that Jan and gracie recommended, and I'lll be on the hunt for one of those.

Oakleyoak, that is a toile fabric called Four Seasons manufactured by P. Kauffmann , in the robin's egg colorway. It does come in other colors, (crimson red and cornflower blue). I doubt you'd find it in retail, yet you could get it custom-made, LOL! And, I'd love have a custom decorative sewing business where I could do this all the time for profit. It seems I spend all my extra money on fabrics.

It's essentially "nanna's room" when I visit, so a reading lamp beside the bed, and another by the chair, will be a necessity. Some antique books with an old stone figurine, gracie, is exactly the kind of accessory advice that I was hoping for. I'll be on the lookout for that, too!

While I have your attention, do you think these silk curtains would look better if pulled back with some pretty tasseled rope pullbacks? I saw some pretty almond colored rope tassels that I could buy to use if you think that would look appropriate.

Like jerseygirl, I envision a pretty crystal chandelier above the bed. I can also see an antique quilt stand with a cashmere or chenille throw on it. Restoration Hardware has some chenille ones that would pick up the blues and beowns nicely, or you could go for one color.

Jan, the Lamps Plus set is almost more than what she'd need, but perfect for this room! Knowing my DD's sense of economy, she'd want to use the left over's to replace lamps that her MIL gave her for the guest room downstairs that she doesn't like! Thank heavens MIL is computer illiterate and won't see this, you could really get us in trouble! Maybe I should back off a little, and just find one or two perfect lamps. One floor lamp to use by the chair, and then two matching table lamps to put on each side of the bed. If I were to get anything else, I know it would cause an upset with what's going on in the downstairs guest room. I didn't even take any pix of that guest room because I didn't want to cause any in-law trouble with choices MIL made!
