pick this plan apart, please! IKEA, ordering next week

Hi everyone,

I'm so excited to share this plan with you all. I've been working on it for over a year now. This is for new construction. We will be mixing the IKEA Nexus Brown-Black bases with a few Adel White uppers and high cabinets. As you can see, we're mostly topless.

Here's the kitchen floorplan:

And this is how it relates to the first floor in general:

Here is an aerial view from the IKEA kitchen planner:

And, finally, here is a view from the dining area:

There is a glitch in the IKEA planner that causes some doors to get stacked on top of the cabinet, so just ignore that.

From left to right on the sink wall, there is:

21" pull-out

dishwasher

36" sink base

24" drawers

21" pull-out

From left to right on the cookstop wall:

30" drawers

12" pull-out

36" cooktop with drawers under

15" drawers

18" base for prep sink

15" drawers

30" double oven cab

Refrigerator wall:

24" pantry

36" built-in fridge (will have to hack something for over fridge)

island left to right as you face working side:

24" microwave drawer with drawers below

12" full-height tray storage

36" drawers

18" pull-out for trash

As I see it, main prep is on the island, secondary prep around cooktop. Sink wall is mainly cleanup (will tuck small trash can under sink). I placed the fridge to be accessible to non-cooks without getting in way of cooking action.

I had originally placed 24" drawer bases on either end of main sink wall, but the dimension there is 11', and the cabinets totaled 11', so I think I'd be cutting it too close. Unfortunately, the next size down (21") is not available as a drawer stack, so I switched to 21" pull-out with drawers behind. I'm not terribly excited about this, though I feel it's better than a 21" door with ROTS behind.

That's probably enought to get y'all started. Who wants to go first? :-)

Thanks in advance!!
