The most important thing about pull out faucets are the washers. More expensive models have ceramic washers which keep water from leaking at the joints on the faucet. A good quality faucet will last 10 years without replacement. It is definitely a case of you get what you pay for. I've had bad experiences with both Moen and Delta and of course I'll admit I was saving money by using them. They do not use ceramic washers, at least the models we used didn't. So, look carefully at the product and compare carefully whatever you are choosing. After spending so much on your kitchen, spending a few hundred dollars more for something that you use multiple times a day, is an investment that's worth it.

Mine has been in for about a month and I love it!! We love the pulldown feature and the fact that it changes from a spray to a stream with a touch of a button on the head. The "touch" mechanism is awesome. Last night I was working with chicken cutlets and just touched the faucet with my forearm--not my juice covered hands and BAM-it's on and Im cleaning my hands without having to take out the antibacterial spray and paper towel to wipe down the faucet handle like I used to do. When I want to rinse my sink out or rinse off fruit or veggies, the pull down head is awesome for doing that. Using that took a few days to get used to because if you dont grasp the head firm enough, the unit will turn on and off repeatedly. You learn that you need a firm grasp so that it "knows" to stay on. After a week or so it becomes second-nature and is a breeze to use. We've had no problems with it and absolutely love it. I highly recommend it.

I have been debating the sink question for our remodel and hope there's someone who can HELP ME! My original thought was a big single sink (Ticor S508) because I'm so sick of the double, can't put the big pans in, kind of sink. But, I had so many people tell me that I'm going to miss the flexibility of 2 sinks, that I'm thinking of a big side, small side (Ticor S6512) as an option. I would really LOVE your thoughts. Maybe there's something I haven't considered about these 2 options.
