Kitchen Faucet: Any reason NOT to choose a pull-down spray?
Comments (6)Thanks so much, very helpful -- I had no idea a pull down and a pull out were actually two different things! That thread link was so helpful, really! So I think I am going to choose a pull-OUT as I don't want a gooseneck shape and the pullouts I've seen on FaucetsDirect are the ones I naturally gravitate toward. Thanks for your help, and also for making me think about the button that can hold the spray for me. Who knew choosing one little faucet would be so involved! Now I have to start thinking about the bathroom faucets.... :-)...See MoreGrohe Ladylux Pro faucet or Hansgrohe Allegro pull-down faucet?
Comments (7)I have #2 and it is giant--make a cardboard cutout before committing! (I got it partly because of the long reach. Short arms and all that.) Except for the issue you pointed out, which is a bit annoying but not hugely annoying, I like it. It only bugs me because I have a Tapmaster so when I'm washing multiple things I'd rather use spray on but turn off water between items, the darn spray keeps turning off when I turn the water off...but if I stop being lazy and use a rinse basket thingy I have it doesn't bother me because I can wash it all in one go....See MoreNeed list of metal pulldown kitchen faucets
Comments (6)Wrapped in metal? My Price Pfister is. It's going to depend on models. I've seen some Kohler and Grohe that are metal. Also with steel wrapped hose and not plastic. But again it depends on model....See MoreAre there kitchen Pull-Down Faucets with lock-down buttons?
Comments (9)jellytoast, how do you like the Trinsic? - is the "flow" strong enough (at 1.8gpm, it's .4 gpm less than a similar Grohe model)? illini, the advantage to "pause" would be that when the spray hose is pulled out, you can't just lay it down to turn off the faucet or it will spray all over the place. You'd have to retract the hose first. With a pause button, you wouldn't have to do that. Not a big deal, but I can see the plusses....See More- 14 years ago
