Thanks everyone! The walls are SW Folksy Gold. I don't even remember what the "something else" was, that's how fast I discarded it when I saw the Spectrus, LOL

I absolutely LOVE your room! It's beautifully pulled together with all of the accessories. How perfect that your husband's photo could be your inspiration. I do love your granite and have chosen something similar for our masterbath remodel in progress. The mirror and lanterns are fabulous. I've never seen battery operated candles that were on timers and must get some! Could you find out where they were purchased?

You have my dream granite! Everyone is trying to talk me out of it. Did they try to do so with you, too? Any regrets? You sound over the moon about it, so I'm guessing not. It's all just gorgeous. Wonderful job.

Treasuretheday -- you can get them at Hobby Lobby, they are made out of real wax, come in different colors and are scented. They also have some that are three different colors and they have votives, though there is no timer on votives. You can get a huge variety at flamelesscandles.net, the ones I got from there are unscented, and have little wax drips down the side. The timers come on at the same time every day and stay on for a prescribed number of hours. The Hobby Lobby ones are 5 hours, and the ones I got from the website have two different options like 4 and 8, I think.

ynnej -- I would not use the Spectrus in a kitchen where you would have a lot of it, but for a smaller bathroom counter top, it's great. No one tried to talk me out of it, my husband was totally on board and the lady at the granite place said it was a great idea. The bathroom contractor didn't know what were using and probably didn't care, LOL.

Cindyloo -- No, the cabinets over the tub were most certainly not my idea, they were there when we moved in. My husband couldn't even stand up in there and the water from the shower head hit me in the chest. Oddly, there is NO shortage of storage space in this house, in fact there's more storage space in this house than any other house I have ever seen.

my sister got me a battery/timer candle a few yrs back for Christmas. qvc. any open flame is dangerous around me. I tend to fall asleep in a snap... even if sitting up.

About the cast iron bathtub, if you ever want to change it out...

Cast iron is very hard, but also very brittle. You can seriously just hit it with a sledgehammer a few times and then carry the fragments out the door in drywall buckets.

We did this in our last bathroom. I was a chemistry major, so i suggested it to the hubs. He stood in our bathroom with a very large sledgehammer and then took a big swing at the tub. At the last second, i think he doubted that it would really work, and pulled his swing up, overswung and smashed our toilet to smithereens. So that wasn't ideal. But anyway, we regrouped, and the next time he swung, connected with he tub and it worked like magic. I didnt laugh when he smashed the toilet. It was hilarious, but im a good wife and he was realllllly mad. We laugh about it now.

Your tub looks very nice. But i just wanted to let you know in case you were still aggravated with the old tub, you have the option of whacking it into shards and removing it that way. A guy who recycles metal was hrilled to come get the buckets of iron.
