Thanks Tom! I was given the AC/DC 7018 (attached) By a Steel Construction Welder which makes sense with him using a DC Welder in the field (most likely. He knew the E6013 was my only experience and wanted me to see the difference in the welds (possibly d/n know I only had AC. BUT! The container says AC/DC. They are a Bear to start and try to run a bead at my usual 120 amp setting. They are over 10 yrs old and I am almost sure I used them with some success over 10 yrs ago. They still look new in color and good flux condition. out of the sealed container (but I doubt tape has all ways been on the seam sealing it. I made a ref to darker color once that referred to my old 6011s since I was not use to that color as being normal maybe until I purchased my first 6011 recently. My old 6011s were one step from the Scrap Metal until I realized my old worked with both being New Animals to me. The new did work better but the old did some course welding (rebar to pipe that would be sleeves in concrete in the ground. I might need to play with my amps more on 6011. With the deeper penetration I needed to come down off my 120 to keep from burning the pipe but 140 w/ worked better on þ rebar and other heavy plate. The Bottom Line! I h/n had time to experiment and do 1-3 projects due to instant needed repairs vs 10 or more per year in the past.

I finally got around to figuring out the photo thing, thanks Wantoretire! I'm attaching a link to my first batch of pinch and poke (recovering mother plant lower right). That was over a year ago now. I kept those plants inside and planted them outside this past spring and had gorgeous beds. I wish I had taken photos of their peak. Next spring I don't believe I will have to buy very many new plants, because I brought several pots inside from which I plan on taking many many cuttings from, I'm shooting for 2 dozen 5 inch pots!! Right now they are gracing my sunny dining room, and doing great. If I keep this up I'm going to need a sun room! I'm also trying Petunias, and Geraniums, and might even try starting from seed. After seeing this post, it made me think of something I saw on here before, called Hang and Level, I did a search and found it on Amazon, and thanks a lot btw..I ended up buying not only IT but $50 worth of antique books!!! Although I have not used it, it looks like it would be quite worthwhile. I think if you go to their official site, you can watch a demo video. I was sold. And now I have one on the way :)

Since I'm a photo buff, I would use photos if I was keeping it indoors ... on a porch or something. I would get 8x10's blown up of my favorite prairie flowers or grasses, i.e., coneflowers, prairie smoke or grasses...turkey foot, big bluestem, etc. You could go either way and it would be a lovely piece of art. A pot of dried prairie grass would look nice displayed with it. But, if I were using it as a "garden" type item, I think I would try an old method...and I still have a glass print that I gave my Grandma many years ago. 1. Tape a coloring book page on 8x10 glass... use paints to trace the page, i.e., a kid digging with a shovel in a garden or a child smelling a peony, etc...use simple bk pages..maybe some older ones. You can use water colors and fill in the traced areas with paint. 2. Tear off a piece of Reynolds foil & gently wad it up...then un-wad it. Add this to the dry painted side of the glass. Tape the foil and glass together with whatever tape you want ... electrician's tape comes in many colors or duct tape. I would probably paint the tri-fold frame. Whatever you do...or maybe already did, please share a pic! Jeanne S.
