I, too, love Blonde and have it (and Ivoire) in the majority of our house. I'm also a big fan of White Raisin. However, I don't think I'd want the two colors very close to each other.

Blonde is a subtle gold and WR is pretty "in your face". That, in itself, might not sway me but the WR has a lot of yellow in its formula. Blonde has none, but does have a bit of red. It's too close in the color family but too far away in how they're read IYKWIM.

You could do a totally different color for your kitchen, like a green or rust, if you don't want that much Blonde.

I'm not familiar with White Raisin, but I did have Blonde in my first house. The house faced south and was very sunny with windows everywhere. Let me tell you, the Blonde had personality. It wasn't a gentle yellow, a soft yellow - it was *yellow*. Color isn't color without light, so how Blonde performed in my well-lit southern home isn't how it would do in a north-facing room. I'm telling you all this to say that I'd recommend getting a sample jar of Blonde and painting a couple sheets of posterboard with it and put them around your new house - see how they do. Blonde would have been too much if it had been throughout my first home.

Thanks for responding! You're pictures have given me the inspiration to do what I'm doing! What colors, in your opinion, would go with me color scheme? My cabinets will be a cherry amish made with satin nickel hardware and rustic bronze with be the light fixtures!

Thanks happymrsh for your feedback! I'm not sure how the house is facing. My husband would know that. So what about Ivoire? I know parma has used it in her house. Do you think I would be happier with Ivoire? I don't want it to look dingy, I def want to smile when I see my walls!

Blonde was marketed as a *new* neutral. Now, if one was expecting a traditional neutral, no, Blonde wouldn't fit the bill. It does have color to it. Ivoire is lighter and softer, but still in the gold/yellowish range.

For me, paint and exposure work backwards than for most. I see a color being stripped by light and looking more forceful in low light situations. Different strokes, I guess.

I don't know what your cabs look like or what you have planned for countertops. I did take a look at your lovely new build on the BAH forum. Why don't you just get the kitchen painted out in either the Blonde, RG or Ivoire, for now, and then see how it reacts to your light situation. It wouldn't be that difficult to repaint, just that room, after you've moved in.

I have Blonde on my entire main floor except master suite & main bath. I kinda wish I had rather gone for Ivoire, since the Blonde is enough of a "color" that it's hard to change your decorative accessories... Just my 2 cents...

I'm not sure about White Raisin though, to me it kinda looks like they'd clash... but how about trying White Raisin in the kitchen and then going slightly quieter on the rest of the house with Ivoire?

My house faces northwest....I really had my heart set on Blonde...what about if I scratch the WR color and just go with Blonde....Am I going to be happy. My previous home was painted "Cup of Cocoa" throughout from Home Depot. So i was used to color...All my decor is neutral/goldish..So i was really hoping to go with the "new" neutral color instead of the plain old white.....My concern with Ivoire is I think it's going to look to pale for what I'm wanting...I love the look of Blonde or goldish walls, since I was used to Cup of Cocoa...

I love Blonde! When researching Blonde, I did a google images search and found a whole house done in blonde and it was beautiful. Unfortunately, it did not look as pretty in my home....
I have the chip for white raisin and I think it might be too vivid near the blonde. I'd buy some poster boards and paint them with your samples and hang them on the walls before making a decision.

I almost painted our foyer in the last house Blonde. Fortunately, I did a 3x3ft test area first. I expected a warm yellow tinged butter cream type of color. Instead it was really, really yellow. I didn't hate it, but it didn't feel at all neutral to me.

If you're used to color (like me) and you don't want light (like Ivoire), or neutral, just go ahead and paint it Blonde.

These colors came into popularity when so many were tired of the taupes and beiges, needed some more color, but wanted ones that spoke to them, rather than yelled , IYKWIM.

I have the entire main floor of my house painted Blonde or Mannered Gold. My kitchen area has been Blonde for close to 4 years. I would not call it yellow. I had a nursery that was yellow. I think of Blonde as more of a gold toned tan. Does that make any sense? If you are used to color on your wall I think you would be perfected happy. I think my DH wasn't sure about the intensity of Mannered Gold but once it was on the walls I think he likes it? He at least doesn't complain about it!

My entire house, with the exception of two rooms is off of that paint strip. My kitchen and bathrooms are Ivorie, the great room and foyer are Blonde and my bedroom is Chamois. I love all of these colors. The Ivorie takes on more of a yellow color in my house but the Blonde is more gold. Honestly, these colors seem to "go" with any color you put with them.

So many have used the other colors but few have been bold enough to try the Chamois (me included). I'm really feeling the need to go darker in our master bedroom and have always been a fan of deeper colors in BRs.

Parma, I don't, but I will take one. I was scared too but I really love it. The room was dark anyway and my attempts to lighten it up with paint didn't work so I finally just went dark with the paint and it is so cozy now. I'll post a photo later!

Parma, it is a gray rainy day here so take that into consideration but I think the color of the photo's is fairly accurate.

I just did my dining room with SW Blonde and really love it. I think it's too dark for the whole house. I went with Kilm Beige which I really love and the SW Latte which is nice but was little darker than I expected. Probably bothered me more because I have lived with white walls for 20+ years!

I think it's very pretty! I love the yellow color family and I want to do several rooms in SW Blonde, but with my current decor I'm too chicken to try it out.

Not to hijack the thread but I have a similar question. I'm painting my whole house SW Ivoire - and like angnrog my kitchen will be very open to the rest of the rooms. I'd like to paint the kitchen a brighter yellow than ivoire. I think Blonde is a little more gold than I was looking for - but do you think I could pull off Jersey Cream next to Ivoire?
