I started the blog with the intent of it being completely devoted to home decor, gardening, etc., but it's morphed into sort of a depository for whatever I happen to be thinking at the moment. My early posts have are primarily related to my own decor.

There are some really great blogs out there. Fun ones, too, but I just don't have the time to check them out on a regular basis myself :~( After I check out this forum, the Holiday ones, GI and my email, I really have no more time most days. About once every other week or so I take a minute to check out one blog or another. I know I'm missing a lot of good stuff, but my day is so darn full, I ~ sadly~ just can't take more time out for them.

Daisy, I had never visited Decorno...what a fun blog. Thanks for posting that!

I'm like Lynne and just don't have the time these days to visit blogs as I might like. Work is super-busy (I am thankful for a busy job in this economy) and I will have a semi-empty nest next year so I am spending every possible minute with my kids, and the rest of my family and friends.

Besides the great ones listed above, one of my favorites to visit when I can is Little Red House. She doesn't always post about decor (she has a warm, relaxed home with great antiques and collectibles), but also lovely houses and historic sites in her area, her beautiful photography, etc. She just seems very authentic...witty, warm and interesting.

Not really a blog per se, but the Our Victorian House website is very impressive. I'm not so much into blogs, this joint is time-consuming enough. :-)

Wow, thanks jeanninepc for your list. There are a few I know about, but many new ones. I can't wait for a boring weekend to look around. I gain a lot of ideas from the blogs, probably more than any magazine. And many are just good fun to read.

jeanninpc99 - that is some list. How do you keep up with all of those? Do you get email updates or do you actually check the blog each day?

I don't visit any of those blogs. I use Google Reader instead.

With a reader, you just plug in the URLs of the blogs you like (I added a button to my browser menu bar) and it pulls the updates (with pictures) into the reader as they are posted. I have two reader accounts, one for work and one for home stuff. When I have time, I log in and read through the updates.

In essence, it's like reading all the blogs you like in a "in box" format without the posts taking up space in your email account. Instead of having the posts pushed to you, you only have to deal with them when you wan to (some days, I leave Google Reader open to catch updates as they come and others, I can't check at all).

I may have to add that to my toolbar. Google has so many cool tools.
