Has anyone used BM Tyler Taupe?

It's been 10 yrs since we've painted the kitchen and DH doesn't know it but this is going to be my Thanksgiving week project. So I'm looking for a darker neutral color to use in the kitchen. If's currently a BM yellowish off-white (didn't have a name, just a color number) with plain white trim on the woodwook and windows. We have oak (no stain) table and chairs and our cabinets are birch with and oak color stain.

Has anyone used BM Tyler Taupe and if so do you think it works well with oak? Or any other suggestions that work well with oak? Our kitchen gets alot of indirect light but it's on the north side of the house so I want to say away from cool colors (blue, greens, etc) TIA

No, but I wanted to use it in my bathroom but DH wanted green and told me that I messed up with the last 2 colors in bathroom, it was time for him to choose. I loved the color and the name.

It's a rich gorgeous color but in my house it read a little too dark. It is always a contender in each room that I paint. Maybe in the masterbedroom......

Just go shopping and look at things you might like. My towels are from Target and the tassel lamp is from a flea market, artwork from Stein Mart, candles from TJMaxx. Just take your time in finding things you like. I think the white tiles will look great with that color. You have far more light with white tiles than I had with the blue pearl granite. Go for it. Do almost everything in white and it will have a cozy spa look. Do you have a shower curtain? If not, look for one similar to a flame stitch or an ikat which would have several colors, including a cool color like your paint and maybe some fiery reds and do all the rest in white. Maybe add some red candles here and there.

I painted double living rooms 3 times one summer in hopes of finding the perfect golden tan so I know only too well how crazy finding the right paint can be! I'm wondering if you have read this terrific article on beiges??? It might help clarify what you need to be looking for and what won't work. I know it helped me immensely. I like Lenox a lot with your furnishing and cabinets. It reads a rich neutral to me that will provide a lot of mileage for change in accessories down the road. I *think* at this point you are now comparing paint samples against each other! Kiwi, we used BM Chantilly Lace. It looks like a true white in our house with no obvious undertones. Not to say it doesn't have any but I can't see any. I think a lot of it depends on the colors that are in the room. Knowing that we wouldn't be changing out ALL of our furniture and bedding etc, I took the white paint cards into every room of our old house to see if it still looked white under different types of light and in different colored rooms. Chantilly Lace and one other whose name escapes me at the moment were the only ones that appeared to be white under incandescent, LED and flourescent lights and outside in natural day light. Then, out of the two, I chose the one that most closely matched my white vinyl windows. Very happy with the results. Just my two cents in case you were still having trouble choosing your white trim paint.

Yes, I've used all 3 colors on that card! Here is my foyer that has Tyler Taupe on the wall with the faux finish (is has a black glaze rag off technique on it). Lenox Tan is the wall without the faux finish. I just painted part of the living room Shaker Beige.

All the floors in my house are red oak and I think it goes very well. Also if you can see the trip at the top of the faux finished wall, that is red oak.

I can get some other pictures if you need them.
