Comments (11)Hi, Carol The cabinets are vertical grain fir, and the counters are soapstone (Jucca), from Dorado Soapstone. The flooring -- which you can't see in this pic -- is DuroDesign cork tiling (glue-down), color natural Baltico. Cream-colored Pratt and Larsen tiles went up on the walls after this picture was taken. I'll post FK pics in February, after the last of the trim has gone up. Glad you liked the look -- I like the function of appliance garages, but remember what a pain it was to have a handpainted tambour door over our old one, because the paint could never be right. Maybe a sprayed-on paint finish would have looked better, but with this kitchen renovation I wanted to skirt the whole issue. Lynn...See MoreMagic corner cabinets - Right or left opening doors?
Comments (8)The Lemans has a built in stop block to adjust the swing- it can be placed next to a range. Here is a pic next to a Wolf at 26 1/8" deep, may manage up to MAYBE 26 3/8. Pic shows lemans open but still has a tad more travel available. The bigger problem is the opening with-showing 20 1/2 less filler minimum of 2.5 gives you an 18" door- On frameless that is a 16.5 opening and on framed overlay 15" , 16" with inset...You need a bit more. I try to stick with the Lemans 50 or 60- the 45 is better than the older small version though. The RAS half moon units work with smaller openings but 15 is still too small to make one of those worth while. So unless you can get clearance for the door opeing use the longer wall. As to magic corner in the uppers-I wouldn't on a bet....See MoreCorner sink cabinet size--will it fit?
Comments (4)To get cabinet thru door you can order it with the sub base shipped loose. For corner sinks I always use a recessedcorner sink cabinet. Not all mfg have them though. A 39" recessedcorner cab fits a big single sink, 28". You can squeeze a double into a 42. I do a fair number of corner sinks, and I stay out of the layout threads but...I don't think a corner sink is a great solution for you. Not knowing budget or much else, consider- Knock out the pantry, move range to that wall say a 36 cab range then 30, make ther side an el- fridge next to door, recessed into wall (consider a narrower fridge as corner is a bit tight),then blind corner with LeMans, turn corner trash, sink dw- add some shorter cabs under window that are 12 or 15" deep- get a round table....See MoreCustom cabinet question... corner susan size needed.
Comments (5)Would you let me know where you got your image? I want to replace my susan components (in an older kitchen where everything but the susan pole is doing pretty well). But, I can't find this style of susan any more. They all have that hinging door, which I dislike. Looks like you found the part I need/want. Will you share?...See MoreGena Hooper
