Pic of almost complete kitchen

Thanks for all your advice and help. If I did this right there should be a picture along with this message of how our kitchen has turned out so far. We still have some tiling backsplash to do and some painting but I'm very happy at how this all turned out. Thanks for all your help and advice, this has been a great place to come for advice.

Oh my! I LOVE it! It looks great Jen. Now that the weather is "here" hopefully you will be rocking and rolling! Honestly I was shocked at how quickly things went after we started working on the interior stuff. Keep posting pics! PD

Thank you for the compliments. We love it and also think it is a HUGE improvement (anything would have been with that kitchen!). The cabinets are natural cherry with 4 or 5 coats of poly(heck, we even cut down the tree and milled the lumber years ago. This is the 2nd kitchen we've done with the wood.) We weren't sure what type of flooring to put down. As much as I like the look of hardwood in kitchens, I knew it was something I didn't want in my own kitchen (plus with the cabinets, it'd be too much, IMO....and we have 2 dogs and 2 little kiddos). So we actually ended up with a vinyl floor, thinking we'd switch it out with real tile someday....but I love the look of it, so I'm not in a rush! I really appreciate the tile/backsplash suggestion and love the look of them from what I see online. I will be on the hunt for them in stores! Thank you!

Our Kitchen is almost complete! We have minor details on some pantry doors to finish but so excited that this project is finally done!!!!! We had old soffits that were removed that really opened everything up for us! My spacious island is great for entertaining!!

Thank you for the nice comments!!! The countertop is Basalt Slate - Formice, the sink is a single 25" undermount sink which I'm just starting to get used to, the faucet is Moen and I love it. I'm looking for suggestions on paint color and the back splash will probably be subway tiles and would welcome any choices on color for them, Black, White, or possibly taracotta.

Wow. I didn't know Formica offered under mounted sinks. That is the main reason I didn't go with it. Either eay, great job! Now, start enjoying it :)

I love that counter! Formica really has come a long way since my first two kitchens. Looks wonderful so far! Looking forward to seeing what backsplash you chose.
