I chose BM Cloud White and am very happy with it. It's one of the creamy/warm whites. I ruled out White Dove as too gray and Mascarpone as too yellow. I didn't want anything that leaned pink or peach. My finalists were Cloud White and Simply White. I liked them both, for different reasons. SW is a little whiter than CW and I was afraid of all the whiteness, so went with CW. It changes depending on the light, but always reads white. It's a rich white, one I think would taste good if it were edible. Good luck. There are so many lovely whites to choose from. And please excuse the mess in my kitchen. :)

Hi Buddyrose, Your DH sounds like mine. Mine refused Soapstone it was not the price so much as the upkeep. I fell in love with many stones but finally chose Jet Mist for the Soap Stone look. I have a handful of pics of my slabs and inspiration pictures too. Many of these are from other GWs. I pasted them below. CE (looking more green but truly pretty) Back to soapstone. This stuff is so neat you can have a sink cut to match the counters.

Mine are Nordic White -- what I wanted after years of having yellowing oil based paints in two houses. ICK! I don't really have a good picture of the cabinets -- just certain features I've taken. I am still missing some trim -- a long story and one I need to solve, but I keep having other crises. Anyway, here is one that shows some of them installed. It is not too white for me. We did marble and white subways with them and that's the look I wanted -- a clean, polished and dedicated work horse. We did a knotty cherry island and a wall of blue, but I think I would still be happier with a true white if we had not done those other colors too. I liked the Springfield door. It was less of a change from what we had and I was tired of wiping drips off cabinet trim. I wanted something clean and simple, but not a solid slab. ;-) I think you'd be very happy with Brookhaven. If sarahandbray still has any photos posted here or in the finished kitchens blog, I think her cabinets are the same color and style. Have fun!

If you don't want stainless, don't get it. Don't get talked into something you'll regret later. The brown Blanco silgranits I've seen are GORGEOUS! The brown is rich, deep and yummy. Again, I think it would work with what you describe. Can you take a sample of the Ceasarstone and paint to a plumbing supply showroom to look at it in person? Or you could call/email Blanco for a sample of their darker silgranit. I did that, and samples came very quickly. The samples are small, but at least you have a hands-on visual to show GC. I had a white sink before demo. They are classically beautiful. I loved it, but it got scratched over the years and my water here leaves orangey/brown marks around the sink-mounted faucet. Undermount would have alleviated that problem for me. Still, it showed dirt and any little gray surface mark all the time. For a while, I scrubbed it every night. Now with the little kids, I don't have the energy to do that. A dark silgranit sink won't show all that stuff! Someone here wrote that they actually had to REMIND themselves to clean the sink because you couldn't see the gunk! Hey, maybe GC says to do stainless because he's never done silgranit before!
