Are they all the same size?

The two circular ones are about 36-38", the oval one is a bit wider and narrower. I will get side tables for the sofa and a new table between the chairs. I am going with a round or oval table because I will eventually replace the sofa with two antique chairs I have to get reupholstered.

What color is the metal base on the first one? I lean toward the second one as first choice, then the first pic as second choice. Which, leaves the 3rd one as the 3rd choice :)

The base on the first on is a flat bronze. The last one is antiqued gold, which would coordinate with some other items, antiques, etc. in the room.

I wondering how much space you have between the chairs and the sofa. Perhaps an oval table would be better as it will leave more room to move around.

I think the metal tone in the third picture works best with the colors in your room. If you could get the table at a good price, I would consider having the glass top cut down to an oval shape, or at least made smaller.

That said, I'm not really crazy about any of them. They might look better in person, but my sense is that there are probably some not-so-attractive details that the photos actually minimize. Good luck!

I like #3 the best. It looks like the base would blend with your carpet and the glass wouldn't visually crowd the space. Can you mock up 36" circle in your space and see if it works size wise?

Any suggestions for alternative styles? I wanted glass so it would be visually light.

I personally think the second table works best with your decor. The first and third have more of a Tuscan or Old World vibe.

If you are planning to remove the sofa from the room, I would skip the coffee table.

The sofa will stay a few years.

I like #3 - it has less metal, more glass. It will appear to "float"in the room, allowing the carpet (which I liked) to show through. And I don't usually like carpet, but it works in your room.

Hard to say. You'd have to see them in person. I think oval may be a better shape, but #2 may look kind of cheap. I like #3, but it looks quite low to the ground. How much space will there be between sofa/chairs and the table? It looks like the table may be "out of reach" for whomever is sitting on the chairs/sofa.

I don't think meh at all. I think I like either 1 or 3 and I think you have a lovely space - either of these will lovely in it.

#3 looks like a higher quality than others. I also really like the brassy base and beveled edge.

I'd go another direction.

I'd look for a pair of interesting square tables that can sit side by side as one thing, or be moved apart so that one is easy to reach from each of your pairs of chairs.

I like the second one. I think I might bump into the others, harder for me to see, especially at night. I once had a glass one that I constantly did that.

I have to go with 'none of the above'. I'm not crazy about any of the 3 you've posted either. They seem too big for the space. I like bronwynsmom's idea of the 2 cube-type tables that could be moved around. Or even an ottoman-style square-ish 'table' on wheels that could be moved.

Space between couch and chair is 7', each table is about 3' wide. I've mocked it up here.

I think I'll try out #3, it's around $100, and does appear to be high quality, if I hate it I can always resell and keep looking. I am planning on using a gold toned chandelier in the dining room which is across the entryway, so it will be worth a try. In the meantime I'll have a table before Thanksgiving.

I would have voted for number one! Your room looks very nice and cozy. I could be comfortable in that room.

My vote would have been for #2. You need a piece with some visual weight to it since the other furnishings are visually heavy. The glass top would keep it from being TOO heavy. It also coordinates best with the style of your other furnishings.

I'm wondering if you might not be better off with a rectangular table in front of the sofa to set a drink, etc. down on since you don't appear to have end tables there and get a larger table between the two chairs to set down a drink. With a table in the center of the room, it's not really convenient to either the chairs or the sofa.

They're nice tables but I'd love to see something with texture and warmth in your lovely room. Off the top of my head I was thinking copper top and metal like in the pic below. Leather would also work or fabric covered table etc. The clear glass reads cold to me.
