Need Help choosing roof color for Tudor Home
Comments (28)I think I'd also check out something with a bit more brown to it than the grays have. Drawing from the look of a weathered thatched roof to pick up on the cool brown of the trim and connect more with the warm brown stone. Also since you're considering moving from the cool white to a warmer colored stucco. Beautiful home! Have always admired the tudors....See Morehelp needed choosing shingle color
Comments (2)Having been born with no sense of taste, so I've been told, I find the color charts put out by paint distributors, the ones that show compatable colors from the same pallet, to be useful for picking out trim colors. They might work for roofing colors, too. JAPT...See MoreNeed help choosing a dining table size for our new home.
Comments (3)I would do a round table 56” in diameter...would look great. or a 56” x76” rectangle you subtract 30” from both sides of table for room to pull out chairs and maneuver around the space...also from length.. so take the width of your room and subtract 60” and take length if your room and subtract 60” Room width....116-60=56” wide for table width room length....136-60=76” long for table length...See MoreHelp choosing an exterior white Benjamin Moore color for our home
Comments (2)I think that LRV is the least important and easiest to determine aspect of color when trying to blend/match/complement another surface. Any light color, including white, has a high LRV--Chantilly Lace is 90% and White Wisp is 80%, so you probably won't see a difference between them outside, especially on a sunny day. More importantly, you need to take into account the hue and chroma of a color when looking for a complementary color for the pavers. Hue meaning the actual color as per the "rainbow" (red/orange/yellow/green/blue/purple), and chroma meaning how bright or saturated the color is. Your pavers look to be gray (from what I can tell from the photo), and if you want a color with a lower LRV, which means a darker color that won't be so reflective, then go with a medium gray, not any of the whites. Try Coventry Gray (HC169), Boothbay Gray (HC165), Brewster Gray (HC162), or any of the medium grays in the fandeck. Keep in mind that you need to see a large sample of the color outside, on sunny and cloudy days, to select the best color. Also keep in mind that all the neutral grays belong to a hue family--some will appear more blue/green/purple, etc. but you can only tell how they'll appear by viewing them yourself in your space. Good luck with your search!...See MoreAmy0304
