How dark is too dark? Powder

Hi all!

I'm getting ready to re-do my powder.

I just walked into a resto today that had a bright emerald green bathroom and I LOVED it. I want to paint mine something super fun. It is cut off from the rest of the light-colored first floor (Titanium - BM) so I think I can go more wild there.

However, it is a tiny windowless room. How dark can I go? How am I going to pick a great color that guests won't run screaming from?

What I have:

Floor tile--light shiny grey, shown to great disadvantage in this kitchen, but not too bad:

Vanity--Rona Jellybean in cherry, a bit nicer than this pic would lead you to believe:

Toilet is white, door and trim white, medicine cabinet above toilet Godmorgon white:
